Gun, that S-40 is quite small, and fits at least in my pocket. But, if you want something really small, there is always Minolta X-serie. Worth of checking out, esp Xi. Good point Jordy, my Minolta 7i eats normal AA batteries, and I'm very, very happy for that. Prize of packet of four (best you can get) NiMH batteries is 1/5 compared to custom battery. (So I got two packages of four, and spent rest to beer, girls and fancy living.) I'm also carrying one package of normal batteries with me, so when NiMH's run out, I can still get ~30 shots. And if needed, can get new batteries anywhere. Happy hunting Gun. .n

Jordy, it's not all about geting bored. Making 40 good and original bug images would take nearly a year, seriously, a year. Such long time doing images with insects, I would start repeating myself quite fast. I don't even have so many photos to work with, and hunting so big amount of good quality images from net, nope can do. But, still, gotta agree, that offer was and is pretty daaamn sweet. One of the biggest honors I've had this far. Slenko, like I said, it's bad. Too big job. And dunno are Ronin guys intrested doing book with me, they have hands full all the time and don't need small projects like this. I'm not even that well known there I can suggest compilation. Just a kiddo trying to get into big boys treehouse. Thanks guys for feedback. Gladly, images aren't going nowhere, so lets see what's the situation after a year.. .n

Slenko, I honestly dunno. Cristopher Shy told, that if I could do ~40 of these, Studio Ronin would publish a book for me. But dunno, normally I got bored to subject after 2-5 images. If I find good bug photos, there might come few more. .nThread: Help me buy the right camera! | Forum: Photography
I don't also want to suggest anything. But. ...few of my friends have Canon powershots (A-60, A-70 and S-40(r-good)), they are very happy with those cams. I have seen many images and gotta agree, those machines takes quite damn nice photos and got those features you said(and more). Do your own decision, but if I would be me in your shoes, I would get myself a powershot, perhaps that S-40. Have seen and used it many times, it's really good and handy one. .n

Gun, there's the best digicam site in the whole net(at least best I have found). There are buying quide features search section, where you can choose important features and site suggest you the cam. Owners opinions are priceless to read too. .nThread: Hello everybody! Need some help! | Forum: Photography
Dearest Sydder. Nice to see you gasping breath again. And even better to see you posting such a fine image. Haven't seen a photo from you, what is it, a year? But you still got this, famous and recognizable Syydish look. ...about tips for you. Use smallest aperture as you can, background becomes blurred and foreground, reflection, jumps out as being sharp. With polarizer you can remove reflection, so dunno is there un-polarizer?? Anyway, you can't even imagine how glad I am seeing you here my special friend. Keep experimenting, keep taking those photos and keep posting here. Yours, -Niko
