On the topic of wind, how do I make plants in an ecosystem respond to wind/breeze? Is it all automatic? Specifically, I want my long grass, in an ecosystem, to ruffle and sway in the wind.

I find that if you try to render off a 300DPI TIFF file in Vue it doesn't work. Try saving it as a BMP at 300 DPI, it should work then.

if you have a material with a glow property (seen on the last tabe of the advanced material editor) - examples are the stock atmosphere material and the Yellow Glow material - and if you have anti-aliasing turned on for your render, then you will get this step. it shouldn't cause a crash, though, it was probably something else on your computer depriving Vue of ram. Though who knows, it's buggy software.

map a sphere with a hi-res texture map of the moon. S'what I do. You should give the material a bit of glow too.

Yeah, there's that grey (or gray, however you spell it in my country, I can never remembre which one it is. But I digress) area of commenting where it's simply too good for you to critique, and all you can do is gush. Meh.
