rest assured that it's still used and I would like to have more time to use it more :-)Â !
As I'm not a tech guy so not sure if I'm correct : the version of "opencl.dll" file in the detail list of the driver of my graphic card is : 3.0.3.0

Hello Gérard
long time no see and hope you are doing well !
also a long time I didn't went to the forum but that didn't mean I stopped doing images and using VWD (much less than I would like :-) ).
In one word : VWD is my ESSENTIAL tool for simulation : efficient , quick and the famous "drag of vertice" so please: SHAAAARE !
Tried to remake a De La Tour painting and used VWD for the clothes.
Have a good day !
PS: may be I have the same trouble with my RTX3060 and GPU simulation
.

Hello Sepiasiren , is this what you are looking for concerning tectures ? Manual page 106 fresh from my new reading :-) :Hey--another asset--the ability to drape more than one item at a time and keep the textures in tact?
"Restore DAZ Mats+Animations (DAZ Studio only): Re-apply the original surface material settings and
animations to the imported and selected collision-item. If no specific items are imported and selected,
all of the xxxx_VWD items in the scene will have their materials and animations restored when you
press this button (if they are available in the VWD results cache/Exchange folder).
This fixes an issue that occurs in reloaded Daz Studio scenes, where the xxxx_VWD items lose their
surface materials and animations when the DAZ Studio scenes are reloaded."

Hello Gerald, it has been a long time !
Sorry to ear about your health troubles . Hope you it's behind you now. No fire ? not too hot this summer ? .Â
After a big slowdown I'm trying to create again some new pictures (different topics, workflow,..) And, of course, with VWD inside for sure
A few weeks ago I decided to re-read the manual (back to school !) : I better understood some paramaters and of course found options I didn't used and see now what's their purpose. So again BRAVO. Dynamic simulation is complex but, for me, it's an investment to get better results .Now I must check the videos again.
Of course I want to continue to use VWD and will follow the next steps with pleasure . I will keep DS4 for VWD if DS5 is not compatible :-)
Best regards

The latest beta is working really well and the overall speed is really enhanced. What's still missing is a good descritpion of all the options available ! Yves
Did you happen to look at the updated Program Guide pdf? There's not a lot of 'howto', but the available functions should be described in better detail, as well as some warnings and hints as to their use. Tutorials are in the pipeline, but the descriptions should be enough to help inspire experimentation.
Please let us know if you find the descriptions ambiguous, wrong, or vague, etc. That's part of what we hope to learn from you beta users.
Thanks!
VWD_dan
May be it's also time for me to dive in the manual again !

Hello
have difficulties to find time for pictures but, when I can, there is always VWD power inside it!
Here I used Kabbalah dress from Arki: a Dforce clothe . As I do still render, I try a dforce simu. If nothing explode I then use VWD to manage the drapé and it's really, really fun and the most creative part !
Had no problem with my current beta version but I'm a basic user !
Thanks Gérald for this amazing tool !

Another one for you Gerald ! Just to put some pressure on you for improving VWD
but let's says that without VWD I couldn't do it !

Many thanks Leonides!
Still working on it (it's difficult to say stop!) . Not completely happy with the postwork I've done. Render is cooking since 48 hours (6000x4000) I'll let 48h more ! I had plenty of Octane crash because of this 17gb scene on my poor 4gb graphiccard ! May be it's time to do some updgrade ! It was also interesting to learn about instancing.
This project was an idea I had a long time ago and tried several times with no luck. This time it worked better but required a few months of work ! Now I must find a new project maybe something more simple !
Last WIP (you can check the differences!):

You're welcome Gerald
here is the complete image (31 characters and my first forest scene). My trouble now is to find a new challenge !
another detail : VWD give far better and natural clothes. Almost all of the clothes went through VWD sometimes it may be subliminal but the difference with the standard conforming is enormous!.

Hello
a long time no post!
Welcome to VWD-dan, I hope that together with Gerald you will give us a "more" marvelous VWD !
Silent because I was working on my biggest project so far (a 17GB scene file with 44000 (yes!) objects in Octane with my poor 4GB video card!). Of course it's powered by the amazing VWD ! Here is a detail of my scene. VWD simu for dress, cape, saddle, ....

Hello Gerald
thanks for your nice compliments.
So much for my "simple but complex to be impleted ideas" ! I currently do some smoothify in Zbrush but sometimes it's not enough so I must be careful for the rigidify selection and not use gravity and inertia
I want to work on a 2 layers dress : how do I use the "add layer" parameter ? Didn't saw in the Inata dress tutorial. I select the over layer and "add layer"?
Thanks
