I see no images in her gallery, it links to other places though. i think I have found a reasonably priced slide copier, now what to do until it gets here :)
Thread: Photo Mapping App | Forum: Photography
Yeah, i think it is only USA, although there is supposed to be a way to import your own maps. I hev not registered yet, that might be one of the features that appear when you pay :)

You're not the only one. I only did my eye, and only had that until my baby tried to pull it out, but it was nice :)
Thread: w00t! I got my backpack! | Forum: Photography
Very nice, I just picked up one of those myself, considerably smaller though. It's the Tamrac 5371, large enough for an SLR, flash, extra lenses, filters, small digital, yadda, yadda. When I first got it, I thought to myself - this stuff will never fit in here :)

Thanks :) I plan to do some more soon, hopefully I can get a new backround and some help in framing!

I wasn't expecting to make boatloads just starting out, but I am a family man, and $7-$9/hr (from the chain portrait places, olan mills and lifetouch) just doesn't feed the family, that's where the money concerns come from. I'll still pursue the portrait companies, I suppose, I just am leary, the family just lost $30k on a store that went belly up :(

I recently picked up one of the Holga's, but no shop around here processes 120. I'm moving in a few weeks, so I can get started then. It'll be interesting to see your creations before I get around to starting mine.

Thread: March Challenge Is..... | Forum: Photography
I didn't specifically see it in the rules, but are images that have already been taken acceptable?
Thread: Making snow look like snow | Forum: Photography
I read somewhere to either overexpose or underexpose by 1 stop because the light meter reads snow as grey, not white. I've got a lot on my agenda now (sick wife :(), but I'll try to report back if I find it :)
Thread: Portrait on a canvas | Forum: Photography
Wow! I've never seen those kinds of papers, that might be kind of what they used, then glued it to a real canvas. Thanks for the info.
Thread: Portrait on a canvas | Forum: Photography
It's actually a canvas, made by Fredrix. On the back, it says: Artists Canvas Panel (it's about 1/8" thick) Acrylic Primed for use with all mediums. Upon closer inspection with it out of the frame, it appears to be a piece of paper glued to the canvas, but the pic itself has the same texture as the canvas.
