Beautiful work Shonner. It is truly amazing how fast Modo renders. You are a lighting master!

Quote - Do you mean importing a Zbrush displacement map in Vue6? Don't have ZBrush, so I can't help.
Sure, and any other ZBrush information users may have. ;-)

Quote - Well..... I've thought about it ! On my to-do list later this week is to morph some tree objs into more interesting shapes for use in Vue and also to do a "man in the moon " you know, that crescent moon with a face on it type thing in ZBrush and see how it does in Vue. Have you tried anything yet ?
I do not have Vue 6 yet. I am investigating what kind of results it can render working ZBrush. Vue 6 looks great and am very interested in this software.
I am hoping someone on this forum gives Vue 6 a try with ZBrush work or I will just wait until the Vue 6 trial version is released to test it out.
Thanks,
Stan

I think the Carrara version looks much better in every way. Lighting and the model's appearance just make the overall rendering much better IMHO.

Thread: Bob is leaving DAZ | Forum: Carrara
Quote - I hope Daz will market Carrara/Hex better than Eovia did.
I second your sentiment. I also hope that development will continue in a broad manner. I do not want C6 to turn into a Poser focused type application.

Thread: Dazcarrara yahoo group. | Forum: Carrara
Quote - Yahoo had its use for awhile back in the day because Eovia didn't have a Carrara forum of its own.
I agree also.
It is funny IMHO how many Carrara oriented groups there are. Maybe a few more will make a difference!

Thread: Carrara 6 wish list ? | Forum: Carrara
The main thing I would like to see Hexagon merged totally (100%) into Carrara 6 with improved UV, displacement, paint and texture tools to work like they should have in Hexagon 2. Carrara 6 needs these features built in.
Also:
• incorporate all the features of DAZ Studio
• native support for normal maps
• broader file type support...collada, direct X
• improved render engine to better compete with what Modo has recently brought to the table.
• ability to better use anything produced with ZBrush
• water simulation would also be excellent

Thread: Two questions: or more newbying around | Forum: Carrara
Quote - If you have Hexigon, it's great for making tree stumps and roots. I just played around this morning on a tree, took it to Carrara and put leaves on with surface replicator. It's not winter in this setting. Please post what you come up with.
Beautiful tree!
