I did some poking around, couldn't find anything by him. Maybe it didn't really exist because the only one I have is a very, very simplistic one that is in walker mode, you can't turn it into the jet or mech. Oh well, might just have to save my pennies and get the Vanishing Point one.
Thread: 11.3 may have more trouble with closing cleanly? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Mine has been "crashing" when I close it down, it doesn't exactly hang up, but when the program closes, Windows reports that Poser has stopped responding and wants me to close it even though it's already closed. Superfly rendering also seems to crash my video drivers. Not looking good.
Thread: Posers Construct Not Showing Textures | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Ah ha! Thanks, seachnasaigh, it's something in the Render Settings Preview tab. I now have textures showing on the construct like normal instead of the washed out white void that it was before. I'll have to play around with it and see what it actually is that's doing it :D
-edit-
It was the 'Enable hardware shading' option in the Preview tab that did it. It's odd because one would think that wouldn't affect textures, but oh well, as long as it's working properly, that's all I care about.

Nope, don't need to select a certain part, they're already parented to the part when they're put into the library. They've always worked in Poser 7, not sure why this would be different. Someone at RDNA mentioned there's another update, I'm gonna download that and see if that helps.
Thread: SSS Materials not rendering properly | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Wow, the explanation of just the Scatter node's properties made a big difference, looks like it's actually working properly now!
My problem is, I just plain suck at math, so things like this are, in some ways, over my head, but I still understand when someone explains it to me (odd, I know). I was better at geometry than I was at algebra, it's just the way my mind works. I'll keep playing with this and hopefully make some nifty pics :D

Oh, see, I bet people were changing those numbers and not saying they did, which is where I was getting tripped up. I'll play with them and see what happens, but you probably solved it for me.
If you don't mind, could you explain what those two numbers do exactly? This is my first time using the scatter node, so I'm not too familiar with it.
Also, what does RedPhantom mean when he's talking about units on the Reflect node? I wasn't aware that a reflection needed lengths :P

Ok, so I went in and made a few slight changes. First, I turned on gamma correction, left it at 2.20 since it was default. Also changed the lighting, it's an IBL with a an infinite light, I changed the infinite to a spot so it would cast a shadow on one side and hopefully show some SSS as the light passes over it. Also made a slight change to the material and made the Cloud_color white instead of a light green.
I can kinda see it being a jade on the shaded side, but to me it still looks like the material is just painted on rather than the Scatter making the light pass through it. It's very odd.

Oops, didn't think about putting up the thread link too: http://forum.runtimedna.com/showthread.php?63209-SSS-on-non-human-things/page2
I actually didn't have gamma correction on since it was off by default, never thought of turning it on, I'll do that and see what happens.

I'm also getting the same error.
jennblake, there is nothing listed in the email stating that there are limitations. I can upload a screenshot of the email, but it just flat-out doesn't work. If there are limitations, then they should be listed clearly, this is one of the reasons I quit buying stuff here, coupons never made sense and always had hidden limitations or just never worked.
Thread: Can't view anything in RPublishing store | Forum: MarketPlace Customers
hmm, odd, I'll have to look into it.
Saving passwords and bookmarks is no issue, I made it a top priority to make sure I could back those up (firefox has a nice addon to export passwords to an XML file that you can re-import).
I'll try to get Chrome installed and TRY to get IE to work, it doesn't like my rig for some reason... guess MS doesn't like people building their own computers? Anywho, I'll also try actually uninstalling the ad blocker instead of disabling it too.

Oh yep, did that, kinda made it a habit to restart from there instead of the X to close.
On a side note, when I recieved the email for the reply to this thread and clicked on it, I kept getting "it seems that thread no longer exists" and this was the URL for the link in the email: http://www.renderosity.com/mod/forumpro/showthread.php?message_id=4164385&ebot_calc_page#message_4164385
What I'm looking at now is: http://www.renderosity.com/mod/forumpro/showthread.php?thread_id=2883169. I had to search it out manually to reply here.
Oh well, looks like I'm one of those rare few that gets bugs for no reason with no way to fix.
