Quote - That's where they have you by the short and curlies Frank, slip too far behind and you end up not getting any upgrade price, kind of forces you to upgrade at some point or have to stump up a really big number if you want to be current again..
Ain't that the truth !

Quote - Just to clarify: I am using the searchbox in the top left of the store interface and Firefox 3. If I type Skinvue into the box I get the result shown in the top of the attached image. If I type Skinview, I get the result at the bottom. I also tried the search box at the top and it works just the same (for me).
Also note, that I was not in any way trying to make fun of you, Chuck. However, misspellings are the number one reason why searches fail and I thought I point it out to in case you were not aware of it. No insult intended. If your results vary from mine shown in the screenshot, it could be the different browser or a browser add-on. No idea. All I am saying is that it works for me with Firefox.
Ciao

Must be something about FF that allows it to work in both places.
I didn't take your comment as making fun of me. I misspelled it, you corrected me (since correct spelling in this situation DOES matter), and I thanked you. I just went on to say how I thought it should have reacted given my misspelling. :)
Thanks for your input !

Quote - There is a problem with the C3D search function, there are posts about it in their forums. You need to use the search button right at the top of the page, if you use any other you will get what you describe. Only the top menu bar works properly..
Holy cow !
Good thing it wasn't a snake up there ! I never noticed "that" search field before (my colors probably hide it--they are all dark and slate-colored).
Thanks ! :)

Oh, and it works as you guys say. ;)

Quote - > Quote - Speaking of such things...and knowing this is kind of OT (but related)...I can never get the search at C3D to work. Is there a trick? For example, I can search for "skinview" and it turns up, a bar and barstool, Jim, an axe, and Max at the top.Â
Â
That is probably because it is "Skinvue" not Skinview... If I type in skinvue, the first four hits are the Skivue packages fro Vue 6, 7, 8 and 9. You can even just type "skin" and the Skinvue packages are among the top 4 hits.

Thanks for the spelling correction. While I might point out the search should have returned NOTHING if it couldn't match, I'll go ahead and say typing in, "Skinvue" or "skinvue" gives me the exact same result as typing in, "skinview"--an ax, Max, Jim, etc. It also erases the search field (or else I'd show you a screen grab depicting the results).
I'm using IE9 and it seems to work fine on every othre site I visit.

Thread: Vue and PoserPro2010 issue : SOLVED | Forum: Vue
Thanks for you help/reply.
I just loaded PP2010 and was reading through it briefly and noted the ability to have extra runtime libs (I guess, like the old PoserPro 4 did) and I was thinking in general terms about how would be a good way to create/arrange them with the items I have. But I hadn't gotten to the point of doing it yet and it seemed like a good thing to know (adding them in) in case it wasn't obvious.
Thanks again. :-)

Thanks for the info.
For the less intelligent among us, could you briefly describe the process of adding the extra runtimes in?Â

In general terms, a RAM disk is just a "pretend hard drive" that is created from RAM (memory). It's faster than accessing magnetic tracks on a hard drive and why it was suggested.
I'll leave any good driver or utility suggestions to the original poser. ;-)

Congrats on the birth of your...oh, wait a minute, software, not a baby. Sorry. wink
I couldn't justify Inf 9--too much of a putz with the other versions, I'm afraid. So I got Complete 9 for $199. They wanted something like $700 to go from Inf 6 -- Inf 9.

Yep, you're right about the Atlanta temps...summer gets here and the weather forecast becomes a repeating lack of rain...the weather has to have more variation where you live. Sounds like your hubby adapted pretty well from Alaska, though. For me, it's not so bad. I get my t-shirt damp, that's for sure but I usually knock off about 2-3 in the afternoon.
I don't mind mowing. But our 19-year-old kid (my step son) is pretty lazy when it comes to doing anything. Even though we offer hiim $28 to mow the grass (which takes about 1 hour 15 minutes), half the time he says he doesn't feel good. I keep telling him to let me know next time he gets a job offer for $25 / hour.
And, yep, the army probably "taught" me to be on time. You got in trouble if you were late to formations. I guess that's a good thing, though. I did well in the army, very well, I think. Several medals for service and selected for the sergeants major acadamy at a very young age (18 years in) but I turned it down and retired. And over half my military career was spent in the intel field (I even worked at NSA for a while) and I was trained in computers from the beginning. So, the army was good to me.

Yeah, I need to visit the Geek site.
After that brief (smile) interlude, I have a lot of respect for you hubster! While I can't say I'm free and clear of having projects in the middle of completion, I can say I try to limit them--after all, after retiring from the army, I had to have picked up some OC disorders about neatness and task completion. I tend to like everything in its place. I had a project to do for work last weekend (overtime) that required some woodworking and it was really nice to have a neat workroom with all that I needed right where I knew it was (and a wife who said it was OK to renovate my workroom a few years ago and buy whatever tools I needed for it).
And, ROFLOL, I even have the remnants of a wind chime (where the wood rotted) that I need to restring and hang my own self (LOL).
But, I've let the yard go for too long and now I'm working every weekend to restore it to something to be proud of. At $6,500 (and counting), it's coming along slowly. Today I'm filling dirt between the gaps of the new sod and the pro-metal edging I lined the entire yard with. On my second wheelbarrow load of dirt and only about an eighth of the way through the two football fields of ediging I need to fill against. And it's always not now in Atlanta !
So, that's one thing that stops my hobby pursuits...
PS: My daughter and I don't get along very well. As I tell the story, she grew boobs and became a beech... rolling my eyes.
