Yes! Congrats to the team on this acquisition. I'm looking forward to seeing this evolve.
I have the same question as others - I purchased Poser 11 Pro at SM last year, and now need to reinstall on a new hard drive. Will there be any way to verify our licenses/purchase history?
Thanks!
You can install Poser 11 on your new hard drive using the download manager, and entering your serial number to download the program and content.
If you are able to deactivate the copy on the old hard drive first (difficult if it died! LOL), I suggest doing that as well before you decommission it. That way you don't have an activation that is "used up."
To deactivate on the old hard drive, just choose Help > Deactivate License from the Poser menu, and follow the prompts.
Thank you Deecey! That is very helpful! I do still have the old drive - I just don't know which drive it's on, lol (I swap drives around a lot with different software configs).

Thread: Really wierd issue with P6 - animation | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Well, changing the camera did the trick. :) Thanks! Did not even think it would be that, since I checked that the camera was locked and had no keyframes or motion. Wow. (Note to self - banish face camera...)

Yeah, checked that too. Also tried re-loading the light and screen after applying the animation - the animation STILLÂ applies to every object in the scene, even if I import another M2. As of now it looks like the mocap file is a dud, I've checked everything, reloaded, etc. :(
Thread: Increase terrain resolution in preview/workspace? How? | Forum: Vue
Yeah, but the modules upgrade price didn't sit well with me, it would have cost another couple hundred to upgrade those.
But - I am finding out I probably want to go with the Infinite or XStream version rather than Pioneer and upgrading module-by-module. So I'm probably just going to save up for that rather than upgrade my modules, it seems to me it will only cost a little bit more plus I'll have some added tools with Infinite.

Rutra, thank you so much - that did it!
Yeah, I wish I had waited just a month, I bought Vue 7 about 3 weeks before 8 came out. :( The terrain sculpting looks really cool for doing overhangs. I'll probably upgrade this spring once I learn more.
Thread: Aery Soul - question about Soulbringer product | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Come to think of it I just picked up Clothes Converter 4 the other day for a M3 to M2 project.

Thanks Jen, AerySoul's site is blocked here at the office so I thought I'd try here first. I'll be able to give that a shot at home this evening.
Laurie, I have a version of CD, I think it's a demo or trial. Thank you for reminding me about it! :)

Thread: Totally OT - Twitter | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
It has its uses.
I've connected with some cool folks through Twitter and have been introduced to a lot of cool new music, design resources, software, artwork, etc. It takes a while to get the hang of it, and once the novelty wears off you can find useful info. The key is to filter through the crap and follow people that actually write worthwhile posts.
As a vendor, I use it for posting promos - I make sales whenever I post there. :)
Thread: Is it possible to make a real movie with DAZ? | Forum: DAZ|Studio
Carrara is great, I've only recently started using it myself. The oceans are amazing. I would suggest the Dreamlight tutorials, they are fantastic and will help you get up to speed faster.
You're absolutely right about the backgrounds, they can be simpler yet still effective. It's the same way with comics - many panels have only solid colors with full detailing only on establishing shots or other important shots.
There is a lot to be said for beautiful matte paintings - but they are not needed in EVERY shot of a film, and especially in conversations between characters you should not notice the backgrounds.
