Thanks I just tried it. I got it to work by using the skin associated with the body paint on the figure without the body paint. Is there a way to use the LIE body paint with the skin of the figure that doesn't originally have body paint?

Hamix, this was my mistake- I thought I had been charged full price during the sale. It turns out the sale had already ended when I purchased the item.  No error had been made in this case.

If you feel something similar happened to you, I suggest starting a thread so the issue can be dealt with.

This is clearly my mistake; I had 2 other sites open that I was doing business with at the same time, on too little sleep. As you said, there's nothing wrong with the item, and I think it would be unfair to the vendor for me to back out of the sale.   I'm going to keep the item and enjoy using it.

As it turns out, having the two different libraries isn't as much of an inconvenience as I thought it would be.

All in all, I'm satisfied that I can now easily open all of my assets in DAZ on this laptop. It works a bit differently from my desktop, but it's not a big deal.

What I found is that I needed to add a path to the external drive in Content Directory Manager under DAZ Studio Formats. Now DAZ sees the external drive and the manually installed assets from Renderosity. The problem now is that I have two separate My DAZ 3D Library file trees in DAZ: one sees only DIM installed assets and the other sees only manually installed assets.

I would like to have one My DAZ 3d Library that sees both the DIM installations and the manual installations.

Richard, I see now that E:\My DAZ 3D Library is missing the Runtime folder! This is strange, because I did download the texture files from the Renderositiy vendor.

Can I just add a new Runtime folder and install the texture files?

Richard, I manually install  the Renderosity files to E:\My DAZ 3D Library.  They're not visible to DAZ.

When I check Content Directory Manager, the file paths for both User/my name, and User/Public are still both on C drive.

I have installed DAZ on my C drive and My DAZ 3d Library on my external drive, E. All of the DAZ content from the DAZ site installs with DIM without any issues. The problem I'm having is that I install content from  Renderosity manually into the appropriate folders in My DAZ 3d Library and I can see them there.  However none of the Renderosity content appears when I open DAZ. I've clearly overlooked something major, but can't tell what I've missed. This is the third computer I've installed DAZ on, and the only one that I've messed up. Any suggestions to get the items to appear in DAZ?

I read the explanation a little more carefully! I wasn't parenting the rider to the motorcycle correctly. The crucial step I was missing is to parent the rider to the base of the motorcycle. Now all is good again.

Sorry to revisit an old thread, but my question is on the same topic. In a recent sale, I purchased a motorcycle with hierarchical poses for the bike and the rider. I know I can put the rider in a typical rider pose and parent them to the bike so that if the bike leans, the rider will lean with it.  There are other poses for the rider and bike that are included that I would like to use, but so far only the bike moves in these poses and not the rider. I've parented the rider to the motorcycle, but clearly I'm doing something wrong. What step am I missing?
