I think it's a wonderful and appealing character! And like Mark said, "it makes me smile.
My niece thinks it's awesome too.
Thread: export bryce terrain mojo | Forum: Bryce
I don't know too much about exchanging Heightmap "terrains" between Bryce and Mojoworld, but I have used Bryce's terrain editor to generate heightmaps to use in Carrara's terrain modeler. There is an artist here known as Calyxa who has written many great tutorials about using Bryce. She has used Mojo and Terragen and who knows how many other apps, so she may have some insights to share as far as moving heightmaps from one app to the next. Here's a link to some of her tuts for Bryce, if you haven't seen them.

Some great looking models and scenes Shawn! The first one seems like an alternate timeline with the high-tech Nazi super "blimp" and Albert Speeresque monumental structures. I think the mining structure scene looks terrific as well. I'm going to have to check out FotoSketch 2.10. It seems to add a realistic aged photo type of grit to your renders.

I've also had good success vectorizing my bitmap renders with an older copy of Flash by using the "Trace Bitmap" function.

This looks like a must-have to me, especially when it is so reasonably priced, like all of the DCG plug-ins. Thanks Eric.

Great job! Suddenly I have an intense craving for soft pretzels and mustard! I have to get into the big city.

One of my favorite archival films from that era. You really see how people lived back then. If you thought that street scene looked chaotic, here's a look at San Francisco just after the quake and fires!

Some very impressive work ZIKEO! Love the rear-end view of the Bristol. Reminds me of a sexy girl I used to know. ;) The concept car you based off the 403 is a svelte, sexy little rig too. That car would give the Mini-Cooper a run for its money. Retro-futuristic. Good work on the nurbs modeling. I tried out Rhino at College, but I don't have it on my computer. Too bad Amapi Pro 7.5 isn't available anymore, or I might try nurbs modeling again.
Thread: carrara is awesome | Forum: Carrara
I totally concur. Carrara is awesome. I don't know it all, but what I can achieve with it so far is very satisfying. I am coming to terms with Hex. I model mostly with Wings, but Carrara doesn't care. Carrara 8Pro, and several versions before have never even blinked when I would import a model with lots of object groups, even some with a lot of Ngons when I made early modeling mistakes. This and the new lighting, among other tools would seem to make it a very viable choice for arch-viz and product simulation. I just have a lot of fun with it mostly.
