Thread: What I hope is a simple question... | Forum: Animation
Ah!! I was wrong! Check out www.mainframe.ca for an example. I don't know HOW they did it, but they did.

Oh. Well, I don't think that's possible. You'll have to make a javascript to change images in HTML, or make a Flash for each page :P

Probably write a small something that sends them 'five frames forward' where the picture is located in the timeline.
Thread: Flash/Swish...Differnet file sizes??? | Forum: Animation
Swish files are a lot smaller that swf files. Why? Swish files are made of instructions like, "Move letter A to the left, and grow it by 8 points." swf files are more like, "Okay, at this frame, the letter A is this big, and at this spot. At the next frame, it's this big, and over here." Get it? Swf files are bigger, becuase they don't read those more generic intructions in the swish files.

You will probably have to use seperate programs for the box effect. Vecta3D is a good one. You COUL animate it with multiple frames of some vector shapes, but it would take a while.
Thread: What do you think about my first FLASH movie? | Forum: Animation
I think it's great . . . but there is slowdown on some of my slower machines. I usually aim for higher FPS than overactive eye-candy.
Thread: a weird problem | Forum: Bryce
Okay, I know what the problem is (99% sure). It's a bug. It happened to me when I was working on my optical illusion. Surfaces can reflect forever. That's right, if you have two mirrors, they can reflect onto each other FOREVER (I think), thereby causing Bryce to have a heart attack. This is my interpretation of what happens. I'm not positive, though. My new image under the challenge arena has two mirrors that reflect upon each other, but there is a cutoff. I tried to add an infinite plane that was reflective, but Bryce seized up just like you described (without the black monitor. I think it's a built in thing in yours that switches it off if there is no movement on screen to prevent burn-in). Okay, that about sums up what I think the problem is. I don't think any amount of ram can help this. If this is the problem, then you can press the esc key and mess around with the scene until it works, then continue render. Hope I was of some help. - Albedo

They don't help rendering. Only in the wireframe mode. Buy? Anything with open gl capabilities. I have a Voodoo3, and am upgrading to a GeForce in a few days. Go with a GeForce.
