I touched up the face texture a bit.
Anyone from the developers know if there is a morph expansion pack on the way? With such morphs as "long face" or "wide mouth"?

She works like a charm.
Now I'm waiting for an extended morph pack ;) She's a beauty out of the box, though.

I was hoping to get her before I go to work, but... I guess I'd have to wait a tad bit longer.

Quote - It has been mentioned that there will be starter morphs, but..... NDA stops those working on the Dawn project from saying anything until they are allowed to.
All the best.
Great Uncle LROG
Thank you! Just 4 days left, I can wait, I can wait... ;)

Will there be a similar package to Morph++ for v4 realeased with Dawn? I saw ear morphs and stuff but i don't recall seeing morphs like "cupid bow upper lips" or "broken nose" ;)
I can't wait!!! (Strike Back comes back on my tv the same day Dawn premieres. Coincidence? I don't think so! ;))

I don't think it counts as normal, but I'm waiting impatiently for the 9th, saving my credit card for the moment I go on a clothes binge... for Dawn.
I want to make her the main female character in an urban fantasy graphic novel, but still need to "try her out" before that. I have the main male part cast already ;) Now waiting for the leading lady.

I was just about to say that I did Eliza's morph a while ago. The texture in the pic was derived from faceShop and is not included in the package.

One thing makes me wonder and may be completely OT now, after all these pages and minor quarells.
Why do so many people equal real to "not pretty"?
Why the skin needs to be patchy/uneven/acme ridden? I mean, I've been there. I once did a texture called Plain Jane and it had pimples, extra hair and stuff. But it was intentially too imperfect (like morning bathroom look imperfect ;))
Defining "proper" didn't work out well in the thread, I see. Defining "real" is no different ;)

Quote - I am not going to toon up my renders either. I am thinking I won't go the traditional comic route either, so I won't use a comic software. I want my panels to be optimized for the web and be 16x9 resolution (1920 x 1080 pixels), so I will probably be doing them frame by frame instead of a comic page. I have no intentions of ever printing it.
Oh, so it's going to be more cinematic in approach. i like that. You may want to check out this webcomic:
http://requiem.spiderforest.com/
It has - I believe - similar art approach, at least on the surface.
The story there is quite complex and characters abound ;) I like it, though. It's still pretty static and the light could use some alteration ;)
Quote - I have to rewrite the first 40 pages. I didn't like the story arc, so I am changing it now.
I know what you mean. I've been re-designing the first issue of my graphic novel for a year now. And recasting the parts.
Good luck then!

Again, there's nothing wrong with over-exagerated proportions if you're aiming for fantasy.
I guess the main problem that started the thread was that V4 (and most Poser/DAZ models for that matter) is easily recognized for what she is in gallery pictures.
Because people do not want / need to modify her features perhaps. I guess body is secondary in that judgement - i usually recognize V4 through the clothing items ;)
But it's the same with m4, Gen 3 figures, Sydney, etc. Out of the box (or with minimal alternations) they are easily recognizable.
What is more: Alice, by Aery Soul. Looks nothing like V4 in both body and face. is not realistic. And yet, it is recognizable on the spot. Same with Danae's characters, Thorne characters... They are all extremely beautiful, yet every semi-experienced Poser/DAZ user knows that these items were used in a render.
Is it a bad thing? It may be when you're struggling for originality.
When I do my online comic, i try to make the characters as original as possible (so that you wouldn't scream "Victoria 4 with Sarsa's morph!" when you see them).
on the other hand I love celebrity morphs. I'd rather have people scream "hey, he looks kind of like Zachary Quinto!" than "It looks like M3 with that-and-that texture".
Again, it's all a matter of personal taste.
We may have a contest and try to put a portrait up and have people guess which model was used ;)

Hear! hear!
That's what surprises me every time. Default settings for the win! sarcasm mode off
Again, I believe that one can do a lot with V4, if one wants. Not only morphs but textures help a lot.
I believe the key is in basing the characters on real-life people.

V4 CAN look different and actually, her default face is pretty generic, so it's easily customizable. It just needs a little love ;)

;) I didn't mean to be harsh or anything, rokket! I'm looking forward to seeing your comic / graphic novel.
I too think the script is one of the most important things in a comic book (as is plot in the novel). That and interesting characters.
Once the dialogue and the narration flows, folowed by good camerawork, everything is fine ;)
