First of all I'd like to thank the two previous respondents for their comments.
And thank you SWAMP for your constructive suggestion which I shall follow.
In addition, could you please suggest tutorials for the reformatting of the hard drive and installing of the OS.
Thread: Kai's Power Tools Plugin causing Photoshop to freeze | Forum: Photoshop
Thanks Retrocity for your suggestions........
It was in fact KPT 3 which caused the freeze.
Ctrl + M then Esc de-freezed Photoshop (in my particular case)
Many thanks to everybody, especially Renderosity for this facility.

Thread: Lighting Styles missing | Forum: Photoshop
The Adobe Forum has provided me with the answer.....in case anyone else has the same problem........... "It has been reported that the problem with Lighting Effects presets are resolved when re-enabling indexing for the Lighting Styles folder. How to check your disk indexing: In Explorer, find the folder in which Photoshop is installed, then find the subfolder Plugins>Filters>Lighting Styles. Right-click this folder, and choose Properties. Under the General tab, click Advanced, then check the box that says 'Index this folder for faster search' (or similar). Reboot and check your Lighting Presets in Photoshop."
Thread: Camera Problems | Forum: Bryce
Thanks Rayraz & Bulldawg66 I suspected I might get the suggestion to track an object with the camera..............my problem in this particular scene is that the camera is moving level over low ground (camera pointing forward), then rising up above a mountain (camera pointing down), then dropping down to low ground (camera pointing forward), and the reverse on the return journey. So is it possible to track an object when there's all this camera gyration going on?
Thread: Bryce5 on Windows2000Professional | Forum: Bryce
Thanks to Doublecrash, Rayraz and Jaymonjay...........for your suggestions. I hope one day I'll be sufficiently experienced to help a newbe too. Sincere thanks to you all and to Renderosity for the opportunity to come into contact with so many knowledgeable kind people. Arnold
Thread: Freestuff fixed | Forum: Bryce
As a newbe with only 6 weeks experience of Bryce, I have to say how impressed I am with your models I'm fascinated to know how the elongated "tulip shape" glass is modelled as I just can't see it in my mind's eye. What does HDRI stand for and how is it done (I realise it is the reflection of an external scene on a reflective object) If I'm being too cheeky, please tell me to mind my own business! The trouble is I'm yet another poor soul addicted to Bryce, who just can't wait to be able to create stuff like your majestic glassware. Arnold
