After i got the email i wrote back saying" hey guys you care to translate"? To which they did and this is what they said and i laughed so hard i nearly had an accident. Ahem... We're very sorry for the slight confusion in sending messages yesterday. That's what happens when you let an intern try to actually do something useful ;-) Aside from the pathetic "Test" messages, the best part, of course, is that the French version of the Vue 5 annoucement was sent to the English-speaking people, and the English version was sent to the French... Please accept our sincere apologies for the confusion and any inconvenience. We've locked the intern away just to be sure it won't happen again! ;-) Here is the text of the message that you should have received: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dear customer, dear friend, E-on software is happy and proud to introduce you to the latest release of your favorite 3D application ;-) It's now been over 3 years that Vue 4 was released. The Funny or not so funny thing about the Vue4 program and the GF4 cards is that even if you cut the opengl out and raise the 3d slider higher is in most cases it will work, sadly my machine is almost exactly alike like yours Silke, only difference being the brand name probably and i still get little white squares in the main frame if i move my mouse in that square. The advice given for the grey shapes does work,i think i asked the same question quit awhile back. So i decided to do a comparisom today on version 3 and 4 with the same machine,Vue 4 has glitches still and Vue3 runs like a champ on my machine. The big downfall tho is i don't get all the goody's we get with version4,so i guess it's a matter of whether i put up with a headache or as the lady's on the "View" sat"enjoy the Vue3". :) I still trust in the makers of this program to fix these problems and issues say in Vue5.

Hmmmm sounds like an interesting idea to try. Hopefully when the upgrade comes out this will be an issue that is taken care of. You would think buying one the best video cards on the market this wouldn't happen. I always turn off everything that's running in the background, even when i'm messing with some other 3d graphics program and it's only Vue that gives me any problems. What's realy weird is that this is the only bug i've found in the Vue. Thanks for you reply :)

Thread: Vue vs Bryce | Forum: Vue
Hey Sylvester I started out a long time ago with Coreldraw and then ventured into Metacreations Bryce 2 and went to 4. Of coure i had to try out Raydream Studio5 and Carrara and poser and the list could keep on going. But then we have the Vue, at first i wasn't pleased with it, but that changed fast as i saw what i could o with it especialy when i love to do landscapes. In Bryce seems everyone thinks mountains are round, makes me wonder if anyone has ever lived or been to the mountains lol. In the Vue I can create Nice mountains or whatever and it looks real. Even the water scenes look real. It also renders 10 times faster than Bryce or some of the other programs. And the price well you can't beat it, cause like some companies that charge extra for every little extra they decide to sell as a plugin or whatever , the people at eon don't do this except for the plants. So all in all ouside of a manual that needs great improvement I'd give them a 9 out of 10 score for a job well done.

I call that a brain funk when i get into one of those moods where i can't seem to do a thing. Speaking of which i took almost 6 months off and am just now getting inspiration from of all places www.shots.com. It has some great reference material there. Also you just might find your work there. Any way My motto is" You can't rush a good artist". It doesn't matter if you put one picture out a month or two a year, it's the end product that matters. Any of you that have done tradional art as in oils know that it's not normal to put out a piece of work or pieces in one week. So funk or no funk go get that MOJO and have fun doing it :).
