Ever since the last update whenever I try to fit clothing (selecting shoulder and for example on the clothing) it causes the whole character to take on the dialed morph as well (example: Dial heavy on the shoulder whole character goes heavy. Not the area of the clothing but everything). It's annoying and yes I can just use the morph brush but it shouldn't happen at all.

Quote - Guess #4,067: They bought the rights to the work done by Phantom3D and the folks at Poser Place and will release an "official" weight-mapped V4 ... and call it V6. Free to owners of V5 / Genesis, $1.99 to Plat Club members, $19.99 to everyone else. But there's a 30-day grace period for free downloads.
Â
That would be a cold day in hell at Poser Place if that happened LOL
Thread: V4-WM is Here! | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Vest you should add this for those who have problems trying to WM their clothing and the morphs don't work. Its a longer step but it works.
Â
The best way is to update your Poser to SR1 (cause it fixes some problems).
Next follow these steps for a decent conversion
Save your clothing item with binary option off. You can find that option under Edit/General Preferences/Misc
Turn that option off.
Next load the clothing item you want. Save it.
Now you open up the Poser place python script that was used for V4. You do pretty much everything the same except instead of loading V4 you load your saved article of clothing.
Hit run.
You can go back to the General Prefs/Misc and recheck the binary option. Since all the morphs will work. Save your clothing..(you can now delete the clothing you saved earlier.)
Bring in V4...Conform...Then go to Figure/Copy Joint zones from...Select V4...boom done and you now have clothes for your V4WM.
If you pose and the clothing moves. You can Copy joint zones again. This works on a lot of clothing not all but a lot of it.

Ah good to know Willy I'll let the people know at Poser Place that it does have it. It would just have to be a newer version I guess. I have the old V4 plugin for WW. Going to have to buy it again I guess.

LOL donations. Not a bad idea but I really don't mind and I loved the work I put into beta testing. Yeah we had to spend money a few of us hah. But the big pay off is the happiness everyone will recieve for their efforts. And our bosses Cage and Phantom are seriously the best. Very good people, very understandable and very very talented.
Â
As for future developments on the guys M4/H4 that from what I remember was on a to do list. So its logical that he will be next. Right now though I think all of us need a break.
We do need WW support and someone already sent word to PhilC so we are waiting to hear from him. Hopefully we'll have it soon.
But for other vendors an update would be cool or to see their future products using V4WM.

-scratches head- Hmmm ok so basically the script can transfer morphs from one gen figure to another? Yeah I'm not really familiar with this so I'm going to ask this question...
Â
Could you take lets say...morphs from Alyson2/Gen 4 and tranfer it over to for example Jager (Found at RDNA)? Or is it specific only to the Gen figures? If you can transfer morphs over from model to model then it sounds like a win. (just body morphs like muscle/breasts/etc)
Thread: Are die-hard Poser users going to switch to Daz Studio for VIvky 5? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
No I won't switch to daz. I have my reasons (all filled with hate and malice). V5 is just a morph for Genesis. I've had the horrible time of sitting infront of a computer with d4 and this Genesis with the V5 morph...-.- my friend uses this crap.

My thoughts? Pancake breasts. No matter what I did to try to fix them so they didn't look flat..Cause not all breasts look flat and sag..it didn't change. Also I started to fiddle with other things of course. No I don't see her as a big deal. You can make the same thing go on in Poser actually. If you want a character that uses all the morphs and changes shape you can make one for poser.
Antonia is going to see big changes. I for one look forward to it.
V4 is getting weightmapped and rerigged to bend better and not have the flaws she originally had to begin with. So I'm going to grab that.
Mariko is a beautiful model. And I believe with what she offers many people will support her as they are starting to now.
We need some males to go with all the girls being thrown out here but yeah! Things are moving forward with poser.
But WE THE PEOPLE! Should not sit and wait on things to be done for us. We should be trying to learn everything we can. Take a program build clothing, make morphs, paint skins. DO IT OURSELVES! And then offer them up as freebies or sell them. We should learn how to do this if we don't do this already. I'm trying to learn blender and Mudbox for this so in time I'll beable to give free stuff away for characters I support. We should all be doing this. Talking about we want and waiting for this and that to happen aren't going to cure the problem. So lets fix this and move on.
Thread: What are Realistic Render Sizes with Poser 7 or Poser Pro 2010? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I believe 3000x3000 is the largest. But if its meant to be printed for a poster you only need 1200x1200 for the printer to read it correctly and print it without flaws. (talking about the company you choose to print this poster of Santa). But I've heard you can get larger renders. But I think it has to do with the type of rig your running not sure if its true or not.
Thread: Another bought pose another problem | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Well the update that he has sent me fixed the problem....As for everyone that seems to now get on my case for being upset over it...Ah well. Thats all I have to say. Though the update to the expressions seem to not work but the poses do. I have enough expressions so I really don't care too much about that.
Anyway. now that he fixed it with an updated file he sent to me all is well and I didn't have to sit there redoing the work.
Thread: Another bought pose another problem | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Oh he said he tested it. Which I highly doubt really. But we will see when I sit down long enough to test this update myself. If it doesn't go through...Well I'll let you all know. Hell I'll even throw some pics up to show.
Thread: Another bought pose another problem | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Wow this turned out to get pretty big. Yeah well its not the first time. I bought an expression pack here once before. Never did work and I figured screw it I'll just do it myself. after an hour of doing 20 expressions and saving them and all that mess (took an hour cause I was so bored doing it) I had a whole new folder...what did I do with the original product? Tossed it.
I will not say the vendor but I will say...Those guitar poses were not...and I repeat were not tested enough. The morphs changed. My morphs that I had worked hard on through both poser and zbrush. I used both. Hell I even said screw it and threw one that shouldn't even use the poses at all and it changed my locked morphs. Was funny there was a hand through the head and all. Anyway the morph option on the pose package was not tested. I don't think when most testers test they use their own morphed personal character to do the job. I think what they do is just open v4 and go through it all.
Now I got an email reply. Downloaded an update or so he calls it. I will test it out and see what happens. If it works then I'll let you all know. If it don't I will let you all know. Done deal.
If I have to do this crap myself and redo his work to make it work then I'm not buying another product from that vendor.
Thread: Another bought pose another problem | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Ok I do have to agree and disagree with free stuff. I wouldn't complain especially if they are just starting out. For those people the best you can do is try to lead them in the right direction so they get better at it.
But on another note. No email yet and I don't think I will be seeing one. If I do not have it by tomorrow I will list the Vendor's name here so everyone knows about it.
I'm not a bad person but the problem should not even exist and should not force us to have to go by other means to keep our morphs while placing our models in poses. This is unfair to us. We paid for the product.
rawr!!
Thread: Another bought pose another problem | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I usually pose then load my morph when that happens. Some of the freebies from other sites do that. Their free so why complain. But either way it shouldn't happen. And I will update this to let everyone know what is going on. Its really unfair. I'm more or less trying to look out for the new poser users rather then anyone else.
If he doesn't fix it then I will report the problem to the higher ups and see if they can correct this issue with the Guitar guy. -won't mention names but its a new product on the market-
Thread: Not enough memory to load texture error in P7 | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I'll try shrinking them and see if that works. I use manual settings often so I don't have issues there. Its just if I use the same texture for lets say...triplets with full gear and all I get the error. I use photoshop so I don't need the free programs I should be ok with what I have. Hell I noticed when I shrink them their pretty much still high rez (reason why I love photoshop). So I'll give that a try. Any other suggestions would be great.
