Plenty of interest there. Looks like you had a lot of fun making it.
Yes, the dogs won't work and the cats simply have no concept of keyframes...

Thread: OT! - Windows 7 Beta to be released Jan 9 (Tomorrow!) | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I made room on a storage drive for it. Downloading the x64 version.
I went through everything at the MS site to download, used Explorer, of course, got to the product key/download page just fine, installed the active x download manager (or so it appeared) and was looped back to that page every time I hit "download" Of course no other browser would even get me that far...
Those wacky guys! Well, I collected some beta product keys and went over to the Wired Blog for a working link. http://blog.wired.com/business/2009/01/windows-7-publi.html
I bought Vista the day it came out, so I guess this is just a little stroll down memory lane...
Let's hope all the nice talk about it is for real this time :-0

Generally the Vicky’s tend to open up a bit more when they know they can trust you. Buying them a completely new wardrobe sometimes does the trick.
If you’ve painted a pretty picture for her to wear but she can’t find it, maybe ShaderSpider would be a better solution? Writing a MAT file usually isn’t a problem (if that’s what you’re doing). The cheapest hack is just to use a similar MAT file and insert your texture address at the proper locations, but obviously this would only be for testing purposes if you’re having trouble.
Sorry to be silly, but the request is a bit vague. I’m just assuming we’re talking texture.
Thread: Has anyone tried Lynda.com for Poser Software training? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I've been through their P7 title and found it quite good. Larry Mitchell is a knowledgeable instructor with a relaxed style that's easy to follow. The main advantage to the Lynda basic training titles is you get a bit of everything in one go. You won't go too deep (save that for Geep!) but you'll probably pick up a few things you wouldn't even come across strolling the back alleys of sites such as this for some time without Posering the right questions.
Thread: Poser Files How Do They Differ On A MAC? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
There’s really no arguing the price. I bought a 1st gen Mac Pro and love it, but at the time and for my needs it was actually a good deal, since Windows had no quad core box back then.
Since Macs are Intel based these days, there are no compatibility issues with Poser files. My main OS is Vista x64, and I easily share Poser files between Panther and Vista. It’s a simple matter to install a virtual XP machine on a Mac, but no virtual OS will be of much use for serious CGI. The obvious choice then is a Windows installation through Boot Camp, which then plays with your brain as to which you’ll most favor.
As much as I love the elegance of the Mac, and appreciate programs such as Modo, which offers a dual license and runs so well in the OS X environment, inevitably there is always some Windows-only bit of software found needed that Boot (camps) me back over to Vista.
Quad core, loads of memory, and a BIG screen for little bucks. Hey, it could happen...

You're welcome. I haven't replied to a post here in ages, and only came over today to change my nom de plume to Bondini.
Hope you have fun texturizing The Girl. She's a personal favorite.

You could try Mat Pose Edit, which is free, and available here. I like ShaderSpider at Daz, for all it does, but of course it isn't free.

Just scroll down a bit and make sure you have "Resources and Information" expanded. That's where you'll find file size info and links to all templates (free to download) for every product.
You'll want to download either:
Mac file ps_pe036-victoria3T.sit (1.77 Mb)
Win file ps_pe036-victoria3T.exe (2.17 Mb)
(live links removed for this post)
have fun

Thread: Quad Processor Hangs on P7 Render? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
The only reason to render at a resolution higher than the standard 72 dpi is when the image will be put into print, etc. For viewing on a computer screen, it won't be worth it. Pixels are simply units. Like modeling, it doesn't matter whether you choose centimeters or miles. Both will look the same on screen, but quite different in the real world.
We don't know that x64 XP Pro is stable? Well, I guess I'm in early adopter syndrome. My Vista issues are over, and x64 Ultimate is doing just fine. Experiences along the way with 32-bit memory restrictions and rendering have done it for me.
Is quad core really necessary? I don't think so. The Mac Pro is a powerhouse graphics machine with its Xeon processors and plenty of memory, but in the end memory is king. Poser should be fine with 2 Gigs, but in reality seems happier with more for dual cores. Of course that comes back to the needs of the OS as well, plus other programs. Maybe much comes down to specific hardware/software setups.
Poser was not my first consideration when choosing a new machine. I've seen it finish renders nearly as fast with two cores as opposed to four (or maybe it was just me fussing with the tea). Applying huge muscle (and dollars) simply for Poser's sake isn't going to serve up much Satori.

It does sound like a memory malady.
I'm using a quad core Mac with Leopard and Vista x64, 6GB RAM with none of the problems you mention. Before feeding an extra 4GB RAM to Mr. Mac, two processor rendering seemed most efficient (but the recall on that is less that total).
Thread: REWARD OFFERED for Anyone who knows the where abouts of Paris 65 hair? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
It's made by FK Design, exclusive to 3DCommune (http://www.3dcommune.com/). You can find a link to the male hair fits for it on the front page there, and just search FK Design for all her products.
I love it. Easy to use and very versatile.
