Hey, guys, what do you think about the following? Somebody simply copy&paste the existing content store, than deploy it as a brand new '3DExpose' store:

Looks a little strange to me..

Quote - I'd love to sell some stuff, but I can't make a low or reasonably low poly model to save my life.
Just make it and start selling. And who knows, maybe I will review it in my blog some day :-)

Quote - Thanks! First time I actually heard someone say they looked at it. :)
(And I was going for the most unread blog record too.)BTW... Why isn't your blog link in your sig? Oh, you've gotta add a sig first.
Yeh, I did not figure out how to add signature yet.
Speaking about my blog: I will be adding breif posts to it without any hope that somebody will read'em. We'll see how it goes. So far I have already collected enough info for daily blog updates within a year :) Stay tuned! :)

Quote - I just might visit that for the LOLz... Some of the items you're pointing out are pretty crap-tastic.
Also might stop by there to keep an eye out for anything recognizable that gets yoinked and sold by people who did not make or own something. Nice to get a "heads-up" on this kind of thing.
Hey pauljs75,
Just checked your blog. Looks awesome! :-)

Definitely something worth doing. Add ShareCG to your stuff as I have found several stolen items there as well.
Personally, pricing and quality are subjective however I think just about everything listed on your site is something that people will need to know.
Good Luck
Mestophales, thanks!
May I see your 'several stolen items' links? Are you sure they are 'stolen'? If so, I will eat its seller and the store alive in my blog :)As for 'ShareCG' -- good idea; i still need to fugure out how to do this with this blog settings. But you are welcome to post comments to the blog
This was the link to a freebie space ship that I found the other day I notified www.3drt.com about the illegal distribution of their free download and the admins on ShareCG within a few hours they had removed it and suspended the account of the person who was claiming it was their work.

Almost every time I come across something it is usually a freebie item they are claiming is theirs, but the 3d community is small enough still, to spot peoples work. Amazing they keep trying. ShareCG has been really good about removing items and suspending accounts when I notify them of the issue.
I am along the thought path, if I like a model I see the odds are I will buy it regardless of price, for example Sanctum Art's GRIM - $70 dollar price tag which for a poser character seems steep but for the quality you get, it is nothing compared to the joy of time spent rendering with it.
Keep up the blog I like it.
Yeh, I know that. I became sick and tired trying to catch bad guys who sell my models under their names.
You spend weeks modeling cool stuff, submit it for sale to TS, and I guarantee it will soon be available for sale in whole bunch of small content sharing stores for "just 10 dollars".
Its time to kick their butts seriously. Now I am giving up modeling for sale and be monitoring CG content stores for stolen stuff.
Another issue is junk models. They are spreading all over the web; Tsquid, Modelbank became huge junkyards of overpriced crap. Good high quality models among the ocean of crapy stuff may not reach their customers. Thats why I am monitoring CG junk very seriously.

Quote - we have got many folks buying stuff from more reasonable markets like here and daz, and they still manage to spend $,$$$ per year on many items with very small price tags individually.
I know some people are buying FaceGen-generated 3d human faces for $100. That's ridiculous.
So lets make 'squid and modelbank to adjust their prices and get rid of obveous 3d software-generated crap ;-) Let customers spend their money on the real stuff.

John, thank you for your feedback.
I am not going to attack Poser pricing standards by saying "dah! this XXX model shouldn't cost $300! It's too much!".
You guys have your price & quality standards and I respect them.
I am aiming my criticism at 3D crap like 'green box with yellow cone for $54.95' or 3d software generated stuff , or unreasonable overpriced stuff.
Do you agree that this one looks too overpriced? ($3795 just for the head):
