I was hoping to stick with transmapped hair. The P5 filamant stuff looks a bit like wire or straw. Thanks for the input.

Thanks for all the help. Hauksdottir: good advice thanks Mason: the face is done with Facegen Photofit. Photofit is like a mail service. I think the front/side photo you submit is used to shape the head mesh and then the photo is applied as a texture. The head mesh is hi-rez but fairly smooth. It doesn't look much like her without the tex.

Facegen is just a way of creating and exporting faces. You can't import figures into it. There is a service provided with it called Photofit which can provide meshes matched to front/side photos.' I was considering Poser 5 for the Faceroom but read such bad reports. haven't seen much work I was impressed with from Faceroom. Anybody know of any? I played around with Avatar Studio and hated the face matching process there. Is Poser 5 like that?

Facegen Modeller 2.2 has a dial-up photofit facility which gives great results. Surprising when you only have to match 5 points with the photo. It's expensive though.

I bought a Princess Diana character from the store a while back. It was removed I think because of copyright problems. It is pretty good and I still use it but I'm scared to post in case I get into legal trouble. It included a custom modelled face mask matched to a photo texture, rather than morphs.

I eventually used Nerd's ECMfix things. Similar to null loader. You load one before each of the figures you want to load. The figures are fine and so is the pz3 after you've saved it. No messy cr2 editing. Where's the problem? ;)

(Of course I meant pz3 not pz2) I have no trouble bringing back the sets or cr2s, but that means I have to compose my scene all over again. I'd like to be able to save the pz3. Oh I see, you mean if I save the figures as cr2s before I save the pz3, the pz3 will be OK when reloaded? When do I do the null loader rigmarole again? The null loader is in the pz3 already. Thanks for replying BTW
