Alright, well the Quicktime install fixed it. I guess I'll need to create my own reflection map then by the looks of that link you gave me. Thanks guys.

Hmmm...You know, I don't think I do. I'll check if that's the problem. Do you know why Poser doesn't give you the option to install Quicktime if it needs it to display files? Or maybe I just cancelled because I thought I had it...

That doesn't work. Poser only recognizes the .jpg's that I made and doesn't recognize the .pct's.

Yeah, I had Windows 2000 on my last computer and it worked. Maybe the problem is that I switch to Windows XP? I'll try running Poser in 2000 mode for a bit.

Okay...but if I'm going to have this smart-propped, say to Michael, will the MAT files work even with Mike not in the scene? If not, how do I get around that?

It is a prop, yes. Do I need to parent it to a figure, or would it be good enough to have a figure in the scene? I guess these are questions I can answer by myself... Thanks for all of the help.

Thanks for all the help so far, but I'm not sure you understand the problem I'm having completely. I haven't actually tried the "closing the Poser window" idea yet, so I'm not sure if it will work or not. However, the problem does not lie in whether or not I have the pose selected. I do have the pose selected and when I have it selected, there should be a button to apply the pose. There is no such button. Double clicking also does not work. The problem is that the pose just doesn't apply. I'll check out the tutorial that you suggested Roger, but I have been working from MAT Pose Edit tutorials so far. They just aren't working for me. Anyone have any other ideas? I'm kind of at my wits' end here. Any more help would be so much appreciated. Maybe someone else has had the same problem and resolved it... At least I hope so. Thanks for all the help so far, and for the future help that is eagerly awaited.

Yes I do, I even have the figure selected. It's even the figure that I made the MAT file for. I'm pretty sure I'm doing everything right. Any other ideas?

Nope, PC. I tried what you said about using normal mode mini_cooper, and that seemed to work. However, the tutorial that I'm going off of specifically says to use darker mode. Would it make much of a differnce if I use normal? Thanks for all the help so far. -CelestialBadger

Heh... I'm sure this has absolutely nothing to do with Orphea's thread earlier today. Hey, if I post a bad comment on your image maybe you can complain about it and get more viewers.

Really...How will a terrorist use a 3D mesh as a weapon of mass destruction? What you're saying about a July 4th attack isn't really answering that question... Also, the country has been on "high alert" ever since 9-11 and the FBI has been saying about every other day that there will be another attack. And it hasn't happened yet even though they keep saying it will.

The best way to make textures (That I know of) is UVMapper. I'll attatch a link to download it. You can take a link from there to a tutorial page on how to create texture map templates. I hope that helps.Thread: Please comment on these images | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
yes, I caught the reference to Kong's chapeau...you're probably right on that one too; the monkey looks a deal more civilised than his scowling lady friend...so, I suppose it is Mike's hat that is throwing a lot of the shadow on Stephi?...p'raps a baseball cap with the brim turned wrong-way-to?...I realize it wouldn't be the same effect, and maybe I should just leave well enough alone.
