I've been a member here for over 4 years, longer than most..in the old days no one got "banned" from the old C&D forum....(Thats when Jack and Ed were here)..anyway it's seems like the more popular this site becomes, the more restrictive it becomes.Being one that started MANY heated threads, I can tell you I never took anything personally...me and ALEKS used to get into some big DISAGREEMENTS but I beleive it was never personal..I don't really know why this site has become the way it is...I still enjoy coming here posting a pic or two..looking through the art in the galleries..but since the removal of the C&D, and OT forums..my time here will be infreqeunt...I hope they bring something like those forums back...

ok.. i read the thread below and figured it out..i deleted the rsr files and poser made new ones.. and it worked..now i have a new question ... WHY ?? did this happen to half my clothing props all of a sudden ??? and how do i prevent this ??? it really was a pain to go through and delte all those files ...

I'll state it again in this Forum..I'm with DARTH on this..Lets all throw in a $1 (or more) a month to help with thge site and the staff...Don't look at it as charity or as a pay site but rather..payment for services rendered...we all benefit from this site so lets all kick in and do something about it..come on Jack..let us do this for ya...!!

Ok I.m appreciateing the help and responses, so what i'm gettin is that in POSER , I "save as" my image as ??? (JPEG) then open the (JPEG) in photoshop..touch it up, brighten etc..then "save as" again (JPEG) ??? to a location then upload ?? ..sorry for the re-clarification but some of the technical jargon is a bit over whelming to my newness...but again thanks..

What I do is render the image in Poser then save that image as a JPEG. Then I open it up in Photoshop, Sharpen and touch it up then save it again as a JPEG..then upload into the gallery...is there a way I can cut out the "middle man" so that I don't re-compres the file again.. Also to re-address my other problem, I am still losing a lot of quality in my work when I upload ??..is there a way to save or upload the image without losing so much quality ??..My work looks fine on my computer, butThe uploaded images are usually blurry and lose lose lighting effects. Any help would be appreciated. thank you...

THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENED !! I WAS TRYING TO BRING UP A CHARECTER THAT I DOWNLOADED FROM THIS SITE AND IT CRASHED...I AM NEW TO POSER AND FIGURED OUT WHERE MOST FILES GO EXCEPT THE bum ??, BUMP ?? and obj ?? SO CHANCES ARE I PUT THE FILE IN THE WRONG PLACE...NOW HOW DO I FIX IT ???? IF AT ALL..OR SHOULD I JUST RE INSTALL THE PROGRAM AND CHALK IT UP AS A LOSE ?? CHAOSARCHANGEL

well thanks for all your help folks i've solved the problem !!! (kinda) since my bro in law lost the cd...or "misplaced" it..I "convinced" him to buy me another copy...!!i just ordered it (again) and I should have it soon..and this time...NO ONE GETS IT (HA HA)..and my bro in law had it not what yo think (to copy) rather I was visiting and left it there by mistake..he in turn thought it was something else.and blah blah blah..being that i'm in law enforcement, i do not prescribe do illegal activities of any sort...well i speed occassionally : )

The problem is the poser prgram will not start up,..i know the seriel number appeas on the start up but it does not get that far..it starts to load up but then immediately shuts off before the number is displayed...
