The perspective should be the same as if you had used a 50mm lens on a 35mm camera; the only real difference will be the matter of depth of field, which will be the same with ant 30mm lens, regardless of sensor size. You will have significantly greater depth of field.

Thread: Any way to make Phtoshop Scratch Disks Perminant CS9 | Forum: Photoshop
I don't think it's actually changed, just the wording. It's "Scratch disks will remain in use until you quit Photoshop." I take that to mean the ones that were selected before you changed them.

Great suggestions. I would add two: first, open up his eyes; bulging eyes give an impression of fear and panic. Second, show more area around him. As it is, it looks like he's almost to the surface; widening out the shot will give an impression that he's got a lot further to go.

Just FYI: While early color films did have a distinctive look to them, what you have posted here isn't a result of color film. It's hand-colored; this was an extremely popular medium in the early part of the century. Do a google search on "hand colored postcard" and you'll see a number of examples.

A client of mine has an account with Corbis (www.corbis.com) and is very happy with them. They have a tiered pricing depending on resolution; for web use, they're quite reasonable.

"Yes, Renderosity has my permission to use my artwork from my art gallery for promotional use only". Jeez, from the number of people here, it might have been easier to get people who don't want their work used to sign in...

Buy the Wacom. I've got a 4 X 5 that I've had for 8 or 9 years now, and I've never had a problem with it. They're quick to come out with drivers for every new operating system. I've never regretted getting the 4 X 5 size, and never felt that anything larger was necessary. If you're doing a lot of digital painting a biger pad may be nice, but the additional cost and desk area aren't worth it to me.

Make a new layer and draw the outline of the puddle, filling it with red, add a bit of noise and a slight gaussian blur. Use the burn tool to put some highlights on the near edge of the puddle. Duplicate the original image on two layers, one above and one below the puddle layer, and cut away the top image to reveal the puddle beneath. Use the dodge tool to place some shadows from the body on the puddle, then reduce the opacity of the puddle layer slightly to give a little bit of transparency.

Check the dots per inch of your image... the point size of the type is related. 36 point type on a 72 dpi image becomes 4.32 point when the image is changed to 600 dpi and 14400 point at 6 dpi. Also, you do know you can type in a number larger than 72?

Pay a lot of attention to the software... some may fit your style of working better than others. I'm still using an old Microtek Scanmakeer E3 I bought about a hundred years ago, because I love the interface. If I ever replace it, it will have to be with another Microtek so I can retain my way of working. Also pay attention to the physical interface to your machine: scsi, USB, whatever.
