You can't disable votes and views in the main gallery. The only thing that you have to worry about in here is comments and hopefully if I ask people not to comment then they will respect my wishes. It isn't perfect (there's a 200KB image limit in here), but it's the best solution i've found so far, and until I find a better one it will have to do. The only time I could see it being a problem is if I was to carpet-bomb the forum with my images, but every time I upload a new image I will delete the previous one so I will only ever have one image here at any given time. Matt.

You have to go to one of their images and click the button add artist to favourites. Matt.

So let me get this right.
I'm in the wrong because I supposedly attacked peoples art?
But you are right because you attack their character?
Ok, I think I understand now...
Matt.

Hmmm...Maybe you should find out if my above comment and image is aimed at the Hot 20 'images' or the Hot 20 'structure' before you start judging me... Matt.

You can do it the same way you attach the .txt file but you attach the image instead. Matt.

To clarify my previous comments a bit... "The interesting thing for me is why people feel compelled to explain themselves when they aren't commenting as much..." This wasn't actually aimed at what you have done here, Linda. Although that's what got me thinking about it. It's more to do with 'back patter' comments that are left under images when they disappear for a few days...You all know the kind of thing... "Sorry I haven't commented on any of your postings for the last week but...blah blah blah...I promise I will catch up soon!!!" To me this is the root of the problem. That someone would promise to comment on all the images they haven't seen for however long is just insane. Why would anyone not want to comment just on the images that they actually like? I see it as basic freedom of choice, and for someone to throw that away just to become a fucking lemming is beyond my understanding...These people could post a picture of a piece of dogshit wearing Groucho glasses, and it would be hailed as a masterpiece. I really can't believe this still winds me up after all this time, but it does. I think I need another break... Seeya in a month or twelve, Matt. (Keith, I don't think crap was harsh...I've posted a lot of crap, but i've never posted a funny dogshit masterpiece...yet).

Personally, I don't think the number of comments people leave is of any consequence. The interesting thing for me is why people feel compelled to explain themselves when they aren't commenting as much... On what, when, and why I comment is my business and nobody elses. I don't have to explain my behaviour to anyone. Good luck, Linda :O) Matt.

Are you sure that the 'load images' option is checked? Other than this, I don't really know what it could be. Sorry, Matt.

I use Firefox and don't have trouble viewing images. What kind of problems are you having? Matt.
Thread: sphere | Forum: Fractals
Yea, the drop shadow needs work and I didn't mess with any of the colours or lighting. The spherize filter just lets you make a circular selection on an image and then it distorts it to look spherical. It can cause pixelating in certain images so you need to be careful when using it. The glass effect was already on the image, it just seems to have been enhanced when I used spherize. It might also be down to a bit of pixelating too. Rendering a sphere in Apophysis would be pretty hard to do I think. You can render circles but i've never managed to get a sphere. Maybe someone else has? Matt.
