I have a question. Are there any free UV mapping programs that are free that use 'atlas' mapping or whatever it is called? I am just wondering because all of the free mapping programs I have seen only use basic mapping, such as cube, cylinder, sphere, etc.

I think I just figured out what might be causing it. My best guess would be flipped normals? Anyone know if this is the reason?
Thread: Another Question | Forum: Bryce
I've had that bad suprise before, and its not fun. It's quite dissappointing to go into your library, and load up an object to find that there is nothing in the file, or getting a "generic error" or whatever it is. I suppose it doesn't matter for me because I end of trashing most of my stuff anyways (that's why I don't have any finished pics :-/ ).

Awesome modelling and texturing. Very good animation as well. Personally, my favorite scene is when the ships are going towards the planet, because the planet and the engines look sweet. I also really like when the camera is on the side of the ships, and they pull out their landing gear.
Thread: Bump-mapping problems | Forum: Bryce
Thanks everybody. I'm not sure what went wrong, because after I couldn't get it to work, I just restarted my comp and got opened Bryce, and when I did the same stuff with procedural for my bump again it worked. So then I put my bump image in the first two "parts" of the B channel and it worked. I don't know what happened. It's actually happened to me a few times before. I don't have a clue how restarting my comp and Bryce could have fixed it .... but o well, it works now. Thanks again for the tips.
Thread: Just in case someone here doesn't have Rochr on their favs... | Forum: Bryce
Apparently he can do excellent with C4D as well as Bryce. That's an awesome image. I don't see how anyone could not have him on their favorites .... well ... anyone who actually uses their favorites lists (pls forgive my laziness and hypocrisy :-P)
Thread: A couple stupid questions | Forum: Photoshop
Thanks for the advice dreamer101. I have a question about my third question. In previous versions I've used there was an antialiasing button thing at the top, where the opacity and brush controls and stuff are. But in CS, its not there, do you know where this button is in CS? I have one more question that I thought of yesterday. Is there any way to set up a perspective grid with lines like there is in Illustrator? I know Illustrator has this, but I can't remember if PS does. For all you experts who had a good laugh at my silly newb questions, you'll probably get some more laughs in the next few weeks, because I'll probably have more questions in the next few weeks, since I'll be using PS more, but these questions covered most of my concerns for right now.

Also, one more, isn't there a way to set up a perspective grid, or is that just Illustrator? (I think PS has it, but again I'm not sure)

Awesome building designs there, I really like the style. Even though this might be too late, as far as suggestions, most have been mentioned already, like a few vehicles and figures, some neons maybe, and walkways and stuff like you mentioned. Nice photo as well. Can't wait to see the final image, I'd like to see what those cool buildings look like textured.
Thread: Bryce effects for a movie | Forum: Bryce
Yes, it is very nice to see your stuff animated, very cool. The compositioning was great, and in some shots it looked spectacular, especially when the ship goes between two buildings and looks like its about to land. I liked the CG parts most, but that's because all your CG stuff is awesome. Also, the sound isn't that bad, and I still think it adds to the movie. Very cool to see your stuff animated!
Thread: More Tron | Forum: Bryce
Very nice movie. I really liked the camera work, and the models look great. I wish there was more of it, but what was there was excellent.
Thread: Ok, subspacegraphics.com is terminated! | Forum: Bryce
Damn, you scared me for a second there, you should have used ... instead of ! at the end of the subject header. I was like, 'What, why is he getting rid of his site?' ... shows how stupid I am. That would have really sucked if it was really gone.

Thread: Bryce Poseable Robot, small update... | Forum: Bryce
Wow, your robot is coming along nicely. I like all the new details that you added. I have one suggestion though, but it's just personal taste, I think that the green/yellow thing in the middle and the pink dots on the hips would look better if they were same color. I thought your setting up the movement of the model was already excellent from seeing the arm, but how did you get the vertebrae to bend so well with just one movement? That is really incredible.
Thread: What other sites for galleries, forums, etc. do you visit? | Forum: Bryce
kiwi, just to clarify my meaning, I thought the site in general was poser-oriented (more views for poser images, more dls for poser free stuff, better sales I would assume), I don't think the forums are poser-centered at all.
