Thread: What does the forum think of this idea. | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Quote - Do you mean converting .3ds models? There's no way to convert .max from the native 3dsmax format, to something useful in Poser, unless you own 3dsmax, or have the demo downloaded. Most of the best models are in .max format I would think, as the .3ds format is very limited (64k poly count limitation I believe), and converts quads to tris.
Own 3ds max 14 and work in .obj

Yes quads are better but tri' are still ok in some cases and obj is the slightly better format and the one my guide focuses on which is upto 19 pages now.

Quote - That would be great, and could no doubt be used to aid in converting other types of similar objects.
absolutely the car and prop saving process are pretty much the same.

Thread: Poser Library Problem | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Correct Win 7 64bit premium , dson version 1.1.2.1.1.7 both g1 and g2 have in the past worked no issue both on beta and normal tried new beta it results in the same issues. I may just give up on v6 daz3d seems it doesnt care about dson anymore the beta has gone inactive as of 2013 and doesnt have 2014 support and the current version was released in 2012
I would be happier if A4 would behave and accept v4 head morphs but they just wont work meaning i have only have a few head morphs.

Thread: How Poser Pro 2016 could make a ton of new buyers | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Quote - Actually, there are a heck of a lot of people who buy a lot but don't render all that much. The respond to sales, and buy stuff "just in case." A great market to appeal to. Sometimes, I'm that person.
Also, there are people who post in these forums who render images. I am very frequently that person.
I just don't post to the Rendo galleries because unless you have about a thousand followers, almost no one will see/respond to your post. I prefer to post elsewhere.
I wouldn't judge the Poser userbase by the galleries here any more than I would by the forum posts. They both tell part of the story. But only part.
Edit: Oops. As to the rest of your post, indeed. Instancing would be very, very cool. And a focus on low poly people for crowds is a pretty surprising, but probably very clever idea.
Edit again. Dammit. I mean to add, vilters has done some great work with the low poly P4 people. With the right work, they can look quite lovely.
I agree with this I am considering stopping posting on Rendo now and primarily moving to my own website , sharecg and Deviantart to show my work now 2 of my recent renders did not even get a single view the only ones where me comming to see if anyone had rated it or viewed it.
so this backs up exactly what you said at the start unless you have a 1000 subscribers no-ones going to see or respond.

Thread: Answers if someone can for me | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I have figured it out I think after reading a bit on the net , and looking at the camera shots I took of the bios screens for help when I was having issues with my ssd for ocZ and I think he's converted my hdd's from ide to ahci which looked like it reset to ide when the bios crashed a month or so ago and I see that it looks like virtualization has been reactivated

Thread: SSD Aglity 3 - Does not seem to work properly with Poser. | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL

I have ssd in my machine too and have really no problems like you described.
Are you sure you installed V4 and all your content properly?
I see really no reason why outfit should not fit anymore because harddrive changing.
Seems to me more an instalation problem.
yep pc case has drive bay's designed for SSD and my ASUS MB is capable of support AHCI and SATA III and now since i put a better controller in usb 3.0 (replaced my orignal one)

I havent completely given up on ssd and wont the speed increase on windows was impressive boot time down from 56 seconds to under 30
I will wait for awhile ssd's are still really expensive. if get some more funds i will probably look at intel ssd's lineup they are really reliable as my friends server has a 400gb and 250gb one alongside 3tb standard hd and 2tb hdd

Thread: Another Dud from DAZ | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I never got on with v5 the lack of a converter to convert v4 clothing to v5 killed it for me and I really dont like Studio as the control layout is afwul it takes too long to render unless you have a super computer.
I know its getting a bit old now but i will stick with v4 wm unless someone comes out with a clothing converter to support v5 and v6

Thread: Reality 3 for Poser released | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Quote - No problem Demon2330, many times is just a matter of findinf the key of interpretation.
I saw several posts of Poser newcomers who didn't know why they needed rendering :). It's a matter of steps.
Step one: get on the path
Step two: ask for directions :)
Let's start with something simple: what is that first thing that you need to be clarified?
Ok Trying what you suggested , I am going simple i am attempting to render some mugs that i converted from max 2012 to Poser
at the moment lux render is giving me these stats on my system
the time then
threads 4 gpu's 4 - 41.51
S/Ps 37.53
ks/s 741.06
this is followed by KC/s 1945% and then eff 9% Geff
