Files.Animation or file ??
My recent 're-packaged retro' budget acquisitions from Daz often set folder / file security attributes which I must clear to wrangle the down-load into usable form.Â
Note: I manually install everything into individual folders in a sprawling archive, whose folders I then link in/out as Poser external libraries. I only use DS to export props, scenes etc that 'DSF Tools' cannot...
I used the DAZ3DIM to install the packages, then take the individual runtime folders and redistribute them in the Poser 11 folder structure. As stated, this works for most of the other ones I installed. I believe hborre is correct, that error seems to be a python error.

Thank you both!!! Great helpful information!!As with all DAZ content products you need the DAZ Install Manager (DIM) application to install files/folders into both DAZStudio and Poser properly. DIM has a little learning curve to make it behave appropriately and manual installation is tricky. From what I see on the DAZ webpage, 3D Universal Toon Generation Base content was created for Poser 7 although I assume it would work through Poser 11. I agree with RedPhantom that if you are attempting to use the Python Script in Poser 13, it will not work due to the update in the Python version. Even moving it into the proper folder will not work at all. Use P11 to install the characters, and perform whatever morphs and clothing you want to do. Resave them back into the Poser Library and reload them in P13.

Maybe I have to move the python script into the proper folder? It looks like it's trying to call a Python script called Base_Character.py Poser 13 uses Python 3 but older content uses older versions. It is likely an older version that isn't fully compatible with Poser 13.

Thank you! I will look into what I can do... if I have to use an older Poser, I have Poser 11, then I will.ÂIt looks like it's trying to call a Python script called Base_Character.py Poser 13 uses Python 3 but older content uses older versions. It is likely an older version that isn't fully compatible with Poser 13.

Oh, forgot to include the error:Â Â
"File "/Applications/Poser 13/Runtime/Libraries/Character/3d universe - toon/Toon Generations/Randomize Generic/Base_Character.py", line 16  if vGeomPath.find("3duToonGenBase")<>-1: #check if the correct figure is selected SyntaxError: invalid syntax"

That's about right. Be aware, anything that's specific to DS will not show up because that content is not located in the runtime folder unless you a Poser specific file into there. If you did purchase the Mil. Dragon and placed it in the executable runtime folder, I suggest you move it into a different runtime, either the Poser 11 Content folder or Purchase folder. Actually, the Purchases folder is for Renderosity purchases content that appears under the Purchases tab of your library. You could also use the Downloads folder, it contains its own runtime. Currently, I have 84 runtimes linked to my Poser 11 Library on one computer organized by categories. I am organizing a second computer with another copy of Poser 11 with more stricter organization.
I'd love to know how that works out! I have a lot to learn before I can re-organize things, but it will come. For now I am excited to actually have files I can work with!

Good. I'm glad that I could get you in the right direction. If I were you, study your setup carefully and thoroughly understand what is going on with how your content is installing into the runtimes, especially now as you don't have too many files to keep track of. Just check your compressed files first before proceeding with an install. DAZ files will always have a content folder as your first folder in the hierarchy. It's a pain but you either deal with it manually or through DIM. Also, don't decompress files that have a vendor's name or content name as a first folder with the Poser decompression feature. You usually find this in free content zips, Renderosity purchases are generally okay. You should be okay now. If you are still interested in using DIM for DAZ purchases for Poser, drop me an email, I can get you set up.
Again, thank you!! You got me thinking differently about this, broke me out of my dead-end thinking! SO!.... I think I finally get this! They want you to add the individual runtime libraries, as the content creators intended... I imagine this sorts out a lot of issues, once you understand how it works.
So at the top right hand corner of the library window, is an icon of books on a shelf, one has a + the other a - .... these are meant to add individual runtime libraries! When I loaded the Millenium dragon before, it put it in a folder structure, but did not give me access... when I clicked on the add runtime library icon, I was able to add the "My DAZ 3D Library", this worked! Now anything I import from the old DAZ ZIPS, should go into this library!

Success!!! Thank you for all your help Hborre! I tried merging runtime folders, that didn't seem to change anything, BUT, I tried the add ZIP file option again, but chose a different folder, instead of downloads, which wasn't working, I tried purchases, and it worked!

Here it should show files, at least a count? (1) in Downloads, but it's empty...!

It appears that Poser 11 creates separate folders/libraries, that keep separate runtime folders... that said, the files I placed in the subfolders, was under "Downloads", so should appear in that folder when I look at it in Poser...

The first one is the Poser 11 root folder, the second one is in the "User/shared" folder, and as you can see, there are two runtime folders nested within each other.

Okay, after reading what you wrote, I searched to see if there were multiple runtime folders, sure enough there are... here are some examples:

DIM can install to Poser, you have to "educate" it by adding the preferred path to your runtime folder. Unfortunately, I have no experience with MACs. Can you perform merge files on your machine? If you can, we can figure this out. I want to point out, Poser installation may create 2 basic runtime folders, one in its executable folder and the other in a supposed Poser 11 Content folder. You will encounter other runtime folders within Download and Purchase. If you are installing into a custom runtime, make sure you have that runtime linked in your Poser library. In Window, we have UAC problems if content in place in the executable runtime within Program Files, that blocks access unless you have administrative rights. Give me further details and screencaps, if necessary.
Wow! Thank you so much! I will try those two things first and follow up with pics if that doesn't work. Thank you for trying to help me!

Which DAZ 3D tool are you using, DAZ Install Manager or DAZ Central? Windows or MAC? DAZ or 3rd party content (including Renderosity)? I want to get more background about your situation.
Hello Hborre! Thanks! I tried both install manager and the other one too. I am running on a 2020 Mac Pro Tower, Catalina 10.15.6 and I am running Poser 11.3.18
I am indeed trying to add legacy content, mostly bought through DAZ (Hence I started with their installers, but as you may already know, they prefer to install to DAZ not Poser).
As I said, I manually added the files to the appropriate subfolders, and tried the built-in ZIP add to library.
