On the bright side, you can find hair items from mild to wild, and often at a good discount. I like a lot of DigiPixel's hair items. They're definitely wild! The best part is, with a little manipulation, any hair will work with any figure. Hair works as a prop, not as clothing.
Thanks again. And thanks for the suggestion, I'll check out digipixel.

Yes, There are some bundles that include hair, but hair is usually a separate item. Daz starter content does include some hair items. You will have to look for it in your Content Library.
Thank you. Kind of a bummer to pay $35 for models shown with hair and to get baldies but I guess it is what is is. Thanks again.

Is it normal not to have hair for purchased items? I finally got my renderosity items to load and none of them have hair and the same goes for my Daz downloads. I obviously checked with the models as well as with hair assets and they aren't there

I thought downloading a bunch of free stuff and a few purchased items would allow me to play around and emulate and try to deconstruct/reconstruct would help me get an idea of what the heck I was doing.
What are some good resources to learn asses from elbows in Daz so I dont have to bother people like you guys who are nice enough to respond?
I really do appreciate you guys taking the time to respond.

I purchased a few characters and installed them in the folders indicated in the "readme" file. When I open Daz I can not only see the characters name's and each segments (full, head, body, etc) but I actually see a thumbnail for each of them. The thumbnail is a actually picture of the item but every time I click it to load it fails. What do I do?!? Thanks.
Those sound like the (hidden) folders with the various injection files for Victoria 4 or other ExP-based figures - if so, and they show in DS, then the content is not installed correctly. Exactly what have you installed, and where? Are you using the default directory settings or have you customised them, and if so to what?
After I purchased them I downloaded them... they were zip files so I unzipped and it had a "readme" the reader said to add the files to daz 3d library (I'm not at home so I dont recall the exact location but I placed them there. It hasn't ever asked me to "install" them and does not come up as install iems in the loader/installer. But when Inooen daz it shows the icons which I thought meant I placed them correctly as I followed the read me directions AND I can see the thumbnails in daz...

Do you have the correct figure loaded and selected, characters are sometimes just shaping and material presets, there's isn't always a load all preset.
It's for gen 8 female which I have tried loading on it's own as well as loading on tons gen 8 body. I'm really new to all of this and a complete idiot so I hope that answers your question?
