Are these materials applicable for general use as well as the furniture they are sold with?
Thread: Stephanie Petite vs. Ingenue Vicky 3 | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
S3 doesn't look quite so... anorexic, either. :| Uh, there are morphs that V3 has to change that, of course:) I'll have to look into the hand and foot morphs for s3. That could be useful. eric
Thread: The Finest Source ANYWHERE!!! | Forum: MarketPlace Showcase
Hi Greybro, I'm not in the market for this sort of product (I don't even want to think about making my own textures...at least not for a while) but I do hope you stick with your plans to continue with the non-caucasian models. At least a good mixture. As someone who buys textures from the market place, a real latina or hindi would be a definite sale to me! Unless they are really well priced, I have no more interest in caucasians (male or female)...just have plenty as it is! I hope to see your pretty black model show up soon in second generation products! eric
Thread: My computer specs - how should I upgrade? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Well, I was under the impression that win98 had problems actually utilizing more than a certain amount of RAM (wasn't it 128?) Once you reach that point, the rest is somewhat wasted. I had a 750 Mhz machine with 256 that behaved MUCH better after installing windows 2000. XP also should work, though it wastes a little more RAM than 2K does (you can turn most of that stuff off, but it is a little hard to fine) I upgraded to a whole new machine (2.4 ghz) and don't think the improvement was hugely valuable. Renders still take minutes (just a couple fewer). I can probably handle more figures at once before the interface bogs down, but most of what I've done since then doesn't seem too different than before. eric
Thread: Should we bother completing/converting this model (in works) to Poser? | Forum: MarketPlace Showcase
I think it looks really nice. Certainly not something you can get elsewhere, as far as I know. Would I purchase it...not sure. Depends on price, and my finances:) I've only even tried a small number (< 10) scifi renders, so i tend to avoid most of that genre. However, like some of your other stuff, this is certainly way beyond the standard fare seen for poser sets and would deserve special consideration.... eric

I think Silverlief's package at PoserPros lets you repackage (for sale or free) the textures in it. The one I'm thinking of is: SS Texture Development Pack for Victoria Are you and MAB Graphics not working together these days:( She was always my favorite texturer. eric
Thread: Invisible Placement Figures? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Wow, that is exactly what I was looking for lesbently! What is even better, I still get the ability to resize the props and resize their placement! You made my day! One question, though: What is the Gimbol Lock you refer to? eric

Genny, I'm glad your iguanas like the plants:) They look pretty nice together, I must say! eric

Well, I was hoping it would clear up. I did notice last night one of the name servers that were responsible for the domain weren't responding to pings. As of a few minutes ago, they both are responding normally. I'll forward this thread to the guy who is responsible for the machine...perhaps he can figure out what might be the cause. We'll have it straightened out as soon as possible, I'm sure (I hope I didn't do something wrong.....I write software, so setting a few priviledges on a couple silly files would be absolutely humiliating...at least when others are watching!) eric

Actually, the domain should have been in place for a couple of weeks now. However, the guy that hosts it has had some problems with getting some of the other addresses worked out..perhaps something isn't 100% accurate? Are you guys getting different errors? Can you see the following page (not very exciting page, by the way:) www.mambanegra.com If you can't see that, then it is undoubtedly a DNS problem (either someone has some bad info, or there is some sort of routing problem.) If you can get to the regular web site (www.mambanegra.com) and not the download site, let me know....it's something I've done. If you can't see mambanegra.com, then I'll have to talk with my host (who is currently out of town:( eric

BTW, the link in post #9 is hopefully the official version. If you want to grab the plants now before the folks approve my link, feel free. I'll post here if there is a change that I made due to comments from users. eric

Yeah, sorry about that. I removed the bad one and put a corrected version up. Here is the link I sent "freestuff" just now (uploaded it under a new account to reflect the domain that I plan to start a web site at)As for the cartoon thing, the fern has a transparency map, so I made it cartoony to make it easier to move around. The other's just sort of absorbed that attribute during tile mangling....oops:) 'Tis corrected!

Thanks Ziggie:) Does anyone else have trouble with the attached link (I'll rename file once I get confirmation that there is nothing missing!) Please post if you try to download it with success or fail (one person reported the inability to access the file!) Thanks, EricThread: Someone want to beta a houseplant? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
