Thank you for replying! I do have Norton Utilities running in the background, yes. But Crash Guard is not installed. The "HELP--->About Vue" windows displays properly. Actually, I had not "looked" at it yet, just did and saw this in "system requirements": "Vued'Esprit 2 was designed to run under Windows 95 and Windows NT4." Sounds "silly" but could it be that it just won't run properly on Win 98? I wouldn't re-install 95 just for this application... Seems it'll just "lock"up after a while, everytime I try using it...It'll start not displaying properly (as in, one maximised view will go blank, then I'll try going back to a four views display, and they're all "shot")and the only way out is to control-alt-delete the whole thing... Hmmmmmmm...Pity, it looks interesting and I could use it... So, you are saying that more recent versions are crash-free? I guess I'll have to check them out... Thank you, anyway.
