Need more specifics. '...does not apply right..." is too ambiguous. What does it do that isn't right?
Thread: New Bryce User (as usual) Heat distortion in the air | Forum: Bryce
It might be possible to create an object with the right characteristics using a reshaped sphere and a volumn material. Tweak the transparancy, reflection and specularity. However, I've not been successful. (but I don't claim expertise). Another option would be to do it in post production using Strata Media Paint or similar program. Gary

Thread: exporting obj is it possible | Forum: Bryce
It's a 'hidden' secret. :-) Select your object. Click on the 'E' option of the little menu that appears near your object. That will take you to the smoothing popup. Instead of smoothing, hit ctrl D. You will get the export dialog with options to export in a number of formats. Be aware, though, some obj require a lot of RAM. I've had some fail in mid export because I ran out of RAM (256 Meg). How 'bout going the other way? Create your scene in Bryce and do your poses in Poser. Then import to Bryce.

Welcome Bill Gates' world! It's not an application error. It's an OS error. Something's changed in your system. I'm running both NT and 98 without problems importing.
Thread: how to select just one eyebrow | Forum: Bryce
In re-reading your first post, it looks like all you want are the eyebrows and nothing else. If so, when you export from poser, it gives you the option to add/remove parts of the figure you're exporting. Uncheck everything but the eyebrows. I don't have Poser available at the moment, but I think each eyebrow is a separate mesh. Just pic the one you want and finish the export as an .obj Then, import into Bryce. Does that do it? Gary

Export it to UVMapper and make each eyebrow separate group. When you re import them to bryce they will be individually selectable.

Sorry, Robert. I'm not familiar with the German ed. I'm surprised that there is a difference re: the keys. The function should be there, however. Perhaps some experimentation would be in order. I believe it works for Bryce 4.0.1 and above. Gary
Thread: Export Object Problem | Forum: Bryce
You can re-export any object you import into Bryce. The method is one of those hard to find key combos. Select your object (doesn't apply to primitives, sorry). Click on the 'E' as though you were going to smooth it. Then hit Ctrl/D when the smoothing window appears. The export options will appear as well as the usual 'where to?' box.

Thanks RKane_1. Guess I didn't look closely at the descriptions. Looked like it was all one morph. I did find what I wanted at Morph World. Thanks for the tip on MM4, though. I'll get it. Gary

Thanks Keoto, but the only one's I saw were missing other features I need. I'd also like to learn the technique so if you know of a tutorial, could you point me to it? Tnx, Gary
