Thank you, VWD_dan. I forgot one important thing about Assistant (at least the cloth assistant) - I feel it needs the option of choice between CPU (so-called multi-thread and pure GPU simulating) before the "Simulate" button. From my experience, the cloth assistant tries to use GPU when simulating, so for me it fails too often ad sometimes freezes. I mean than this moment my 4-cored CPU hardware with built-in gpu is much better than the external GPU alone and so when I pick up Multithread simulating, all goes nicely even with complex cloth objects, but with GPU device simulation goes very slow or stops. The main VWD application has this choice, but the cloth assistant seemingly has not. Because I saw the same GPU-failing picture with cloth assitant, I think it would be very helping to include Multithread checkbox in this part of the application.

Thanks so much for the update! I tested your beta V2 with the new DS 4.11 and found the new beta works faster and more stable than V1. The old version gave crashes often with garments consisting of multiple unwelded pieces, the new one accepted them nicely. But I noticed the New Animation bug too (described above) and sometimes after 5-6 runs of "Start VWD" script, this script failed to run the application, and worked only after I reloaded the scene with Genesis and clothing. And obviously we need some tutorials how to use assistant and to simulate complex many-layered garments (like jeans, jackets, coats etc). As far as I learned, such simulations require partial rigidification of different fabric pieces - as an example, when I tested several jeans, conforming or dynamic, they stretched downwards, and to prevent it, I increased rigidness of the pants fabric a bit (this setting is named like Rigidify by extension 2,3,4 etc) and lessened the softness of the springs much less than default. That helped to keep the shape and length of pants, long gowns etc., and for details like sewn-on pockets and hems too. But I do it "by luck" mostly and I feel the need for a sample detailed tutorial about simulating such multi-layered garments and proper rigidifying. Over-rigid garments slow down the sims. And I found the Layer setting in V2 - is it purposed for simulating the whole garments like a jacket over a dress or it can be usable to simulate layers like pockets and panels, sewn over the main fabric (to prevent pokethroughs)?

Thank you for explanation, Gerald, but I have to clear out some important details. I've read both your manuals, old and new, and as I learned, the overall stiffness for a cloth item is set in **Dynamic Parameters ** tab, where I can set up both Softness and Stretch before generating a dynamic actor. For hard fabrics like leather I should set up low values for Softness and Stretch, about 0,001. Sometimes it worked for me for hardening conforming corsages. But what about elastic cloth like lycra, jersey, stretch denim, which must be stretchy, but fit close to the body? I tried with several tops and swimwear with various random settings, but did not managed to prevent them from overstretching and loosening. What are best balance between Stretch and Softness values in such cases?
Another question - in the new manual I found your example with С19 Jeans from Ali, in the chapter about Inflating, but couldn't recreate the settings because of confusing values. You wrote that for these jeans one should set Rigidness in Vertices Groups for cloth parts with such values - buttons with rigidness of 5, cloth with rigidness of 1 and pockets with rigidness = 2. But in this tab I see only decimal values for Softness (0,1 and so on) and whole values for Count.
Where should I set up these recommended values, like in these Ali's jeans? I guess they would fit the most jeanswear in common with minimal changes. And what about this new Inflation option - as I understood, small values like 25 are good for small elements like buttons and rivets, and for larger and heavier elements like big metal buckles I should set up larger values? It makes sense especially in fantasy style outfits which I prefer to call "Skirtwraps" with a lot of fantasy jeweled conforming elements and long flowing pieces of cloth. Possible examples are Zenobia for Genesis 3 Female(s) - https://www.daz3d.com/zenobia-for-genesis-3-female-s and Daemon Outfit for Genesis 3 Female(s) - https://www.daz3d.com/daemon-outfit-for-genesis-3-female-s. Clothes of this kind are abundant in DAZ and Poser market and hard to conform in complex poses. As you see, these fantasy dresses have many leather belts, metal and gem decorations, which must be properly stiffened and often inflated over the fabric. And fabric parts must behave naturally. For a beginner it's difficult to work out a fast strategy how to dynamize such complex clothes properly and efficiently. So I think a couple of additional chapters about such items would be handy in your future editions of the manual, or maybe videos on Youtube will serve well. I saw some strikingly realistic images in the local VWD gallery with simulated military and office jackets, street jeans and other stiff clothing. They lack only some tips how to achieve such realism, playing with setting. But I'm glad it's possible at last. Best regards, Hiemille.

Oh, I forgot to write in the previous comment - when I mean weird behaviour, I mean that without proper settings hard leather behave like soft cloth and tight tops became loose and hang freely, so the main information we need is how to make the fabric harder and how to keep tight items on the bodyshape as if conforming. More often it is necessary when converting clothes from V4 and other older figures to newer Genesis 238. Which are possible proper settings for denim, leather, elastic lycra, and thick fabrics like coat wool? I understand all meshes are different, but some common recipes can help.

Quote - After watching the tutorial video for that first product (the actions), it seems to have embroidery brushes included that are used in the actions and are edited a crap ton.
Yes, thanks, lately I got info about a similar technique of multiple stroking contours. It seems one should fill the whole shape or text with black or any solid color, select it, make it a new contour and stroke with any chosen brush (it may be X-shaped brush to imitate criss-cross embroidery or a slant () stitch). As a result it produces stitched contours and the black core, which must be selected once again with the magic wand (if the brush is wide, the selection may be shrunk by few pixels), turned into a new layer and the whole process must be repeated again until all the shape is filled with stitch strokes. It's a bit slow but I tried and it works. It may be the source of actions, I think. Maybe when I find a good natural-looking style for realistic sewing stitches, I'll make my own action, though simpler, of course... It makes an effect of handmade embroidery, it looks in 3D software a bit more realistic than machine embroidery designs, made in professional embroidery software (Web is abound with such pictures, but they look often as simple beveled text). Thanks for advice.

Thanks for the tutorial about Nvidia plugin, but all the same it seems it requires a good diffuse. That's why i thought it would be ideal to generate normal and bump maps from such realistic fake embroidery diffuse as in this Realistic Embroidery. The problem is I don't know how to get this specific fill - I cannot buy it through Paypal because of problem with credit cards and so I'd wish to make a similar effect by myself (and maybe to alter it slightly, if necessary). I guess the author used some stitch brush but brushes can be used just along contours, eh? (He mentioned in the description -
How to get contours inside of a vector shape? What can be done in Photoshop to get such an effect -http://0.s3.envato.com/files/82030374/02_stylewars.jpg ? (I mean Style Wars logo). I'm not very experienced in Photoshop and don't know all its possibilities, maybe there is someone more versed, so couldn't you tell me where can I find a possible answer - maybe there are some good scrapbooking or web design forums and communities, where designers have dealt with a similar problem?

Thanks, but it's not what I need exactly. I tried a similar technique - http://www.psd-dude.com/tutorials/photoshop.aspx?t=sewing-embroidery-effect-in-photoshop, but embroidery comes out too flat and not realistic at all, it's nice for a scrapbook page or web album but not for texturing in 3D. I try to get the closest effect to that addon from GraphicRiver, but I cannot figure out, how to fill a shape with such stitches - may it be filling with a brush or something like this?
