To Dinhi:
Corretto:Â it's not a program, it's a patch., hehe. Give me a buzz when you're through Beta testing. How much do they pay per year? Or is it piecework, hoho.

Just checked it out a little more. Perhaps should have waited a moment before criticizing. It's pretty ugly and inefficient, it's true,  but it also has the saving grace of being very SLOW, hehe. Great job guys! Almost as good as the print magazine fiasco!

Welcome to Inner Renderer, hehe. Really cutting edge for Renderosity, only, say, five years behind, and a definite downgrade as far as looking at images is concerned, where Spartan, simple, and efficient  is better. Have you ever noticed that the amount of air travel done in the world is directly proportional to the sameness of where one can fly? If this goes on, Renderosity will soon be pacing Inner Traveler for number of views, hoho.

Not quite what I was asking, but the reminder about rendering to disk is worth itfor which many thanks. I used to do that for specific reasons in Bryce, but lately I have fallen into the bad habit of saving or exporting as bmps. Since I usually save the Bryce file anyway, I keep open the possibility of rendering again for another medium or purpose.
There's still much about various display screens that is a mystery to me.
As for the Bryce document window, I tend to do about the same, though I usually work at Max Rec, and do a lot of renders, partial and full, often resetting the doc set temporarily for whatever it is I am checking for.
I also thank you for the other comments, which may be connected indirectly.
What I have noticed, howeveronly from actually looking at someone else's monitor (good one but at a different DA setting), is that Bryce seems much more sensitive, mainly lightwise, to display monitor settings than RDS or other programs. Since I use the same compression on all of them (Adobe), it can't be that.
Am I missing something else?
Thanks much again.

Even unfinished it's first class, and better than anything in "Dune" (which had some good stuff).

Doubt anyone even does any packaging that looks like this ,Anvilhead, though there's assembly line labeling. The best cheese Wisconsin ever made was "Liederkranz", a native invention, that made the best Limburger smell like a piker, and with a translucent texture that made anyone with eyes drool. Some cheese ages for years in caves....etc. etc. etc.
Thread: Preview of my cheeseworks animation! | Forum: Bryce
It's a brilliant idea for an animation or a video, with shades of "Metropolis" and a great exploitation of Frank Zappa's use of "Cheese"(*). Longer the better: I'd go to a site that had nothing else for twenty minutes!

Have no clue to the technical problems, but know cheese. What kind of cheese do you want, and at what stage in processing? Bonestructure may be right about getting a photograph. Indeed, if this is not already for a cheese company, and depending on what the image is intended for, you might get a cheese company to help, or, perhaps even pay to have their cheese appear. I'm very serious here, neighboring on Wisconsin to the north.

Thanks for the link. Bilaagana has a beautiful site and great images. Some of the tutorials have important tips way beyond the manual and Sledd. Been doing RDS 5.5 only since December. This post was a big help. Thanks again!

Thanks ,Adam-I'm snowed under at the moment, but I appreciate the offer. I'll see what I can find out about other programs from the printers. But it may take a while. Again, thanks to all.
Thread: HELLO hello hello | Forum: Photoshop
I am a sucker for the thrice repeated thread titles, Adam, and I apologize for missing it until now. Thanks to your "echo, echo, echo" and Trimegisto's great name, I got one of my best personal works out of it, "Thoth Cubed", working with refraction envelopes in Bryce 3, then really serious work in Adobe 5.0, which I just bought last December. Not only that the "echo, echo, echo" thread got me using contours in Corel Draw 9, worked over as terrain maps in Abobe, and some interesting effects in Brcye that I'd been after for a long time. So thanks all. I don't have a website yet, or I'd post "Thoth", but I am working on two or three, so we'll see. I fell into some commercial work, mostly for print, some while ago, and that's why I bought Adobe, which is an absolute requirement for that, but it's great all around, and I appreciate all the tips from everyone, including the more recent one in 3D Sprite's postings. Thanks all, Hopalong
Thread: another question on importing into bryce | Forum: Bryce
I had a similar problem with Poser figures plus .obj files into Bryce 4 too. Yesterday had a poser figure with .obj prop made in RDS and reworked in Amorphium, all grouped in Poser 4 and exported to Bryce 4, and got the error message in Bryce 4, though it went into Bryce 3 easily enough, and it also opened in Bryce 4 as a Bryce 3 file, though it would not save changes to Bryce 3. Just straight RDS exported as obj. and reexported from Amorphium, also as .obj. Straight P4 figure. No morphs or other mesh or anything like that. Trouble is: I have done essentially the same thing successfully into Bryce 4 before. Just got Bryce 4 about a month ago, and have been keeping 3 and 4 work separate but the glitch in 4 seems to do with groups of objects from Poser, and not just groups of different type object files. Anyone get this problem with strictly Poser plus .obj groups? I'm trying to work by process of elimination to see what the problem is. Bryce 4 is great improvement in some areas, but there's some strange things going on here and there it seems. Any help or clues out there? The irritation is that sometimes it happens, sometimes it don't, as far as I can see.

Got it. Your composition and 3-dimensionality is so strong, Geckothat's a complimentyou go beyond the background picture. Volume maybe. It's really good, and the modeling in Bryce is something else.
