DAZ Studio was/is intended as a scene composition and render application, and never meant to replace a modeling suite (maybe this fundamental is where some misunderstandings may lie). Additional plug-ins are purchased by people that would find them handy, but that's all over-and-above the original function of DAZ Studio.

But as far as "content creator toolkit" is concerned, it comes free with DAZ Studio Pro, which is also free... So you need to make stuff in the modelling/texturing software of your choice and then pose and render in DAZ Studio.

you need to make an opacity mask to make the parts of the plane you don't want to see invisible e.g. the same way modellers do for vegetation/leaves etc.

You could use the spot render tool to populate scene with more characters if system resources are an issue to include them all at the same time...

I don't know if we're allowed to post the link direct on this site, but there's only one place you can get free dynamic clothes that work in DAZ Studio...

If you Google optitex-dynamiccloth you should find the site OK.

I don't actually know as such, but I'd guess not because the vendor will be assuming she'll wear any number of Genesis outfits... and now that Genesis 2 is the flavour of the month, well, emphasis will be elsewhere.

Yes, easy to use - the same as applying a shader to a surface...

make sure you have the item of clothing/prop selected in the SCENE tab, then in the SURFACES tab, select the parts you want to apply Fabricator content to, then apply whatever preset you want to use.

Don't use "save as" for external use, rather, use "export" for a variety of formats that should cover what you're looking for  ;)

It'll do it for any TriaX weightmapped figure (simply pressing cancel might give result you want, but not sure if anything else is going on in background when you do that).

Now here's the kicker... Clothes made for Poser Dawn are NOT clothes made for DS Dawn, which is why the auto-fit kicks in. 

The two Dawns are two different figures that look the same as each other, but they are still very much separate (the meshes are identical but the weightmaps for Poser and DS versions are totally incompatible with each other).  So clothes only made for Poser Dawn are actually made for a different figure, albeit with the same base shape.

Yeah, I'm assuming Poser clothes in DS too.

Another thing that might work, is to load cloth over Dawn in default T-pose but without Dawn already selected in the scene tab... then parent-in-place to Dawn, and set collision item as Dawn in the garmet's parameters tab (it might need to have smoothing modifier applied before collision slider appears, can't remember without checking).

I must admit, haven't actually tried it myself, but it should work in theory.
