FXDragon64...you can install to a runtime other than the DS runtime. For instance I keep all my hair products on an external drive so I simply copy the runtime within the zipped folder and paste it to my external drive.

On a PC right click to explore or double click to see the files inside the zipped file.
The main file is the runtime file...so copy this and paste it to your chosen runtime. Just say yes to the message that a runtime already exists.
Hope that helps.:-)

Try Topaz Clean and Simplify. Both are great for creating toon styles. Dynamic Auto-Painter gives a very painterly effect.

I'm ashamed to own up to having been a poser user for about 6 yrs and I still get lost with the technical stuff. I'm more of a click and create kinda gal :-) Thanks for your help.

Quote - to use IDL, check "Indirect light" in attached window in poser 8. to not use AO in poser 8, do not select AO on any lite, and check that all surface materials have AO disabled by default . it takes time to learn these things. poser 4 took about 6 months; poser 8 takes about thrice as long for new user.

**Thanks for all your suggestions. I tried them all but the problem remains. I'll try reinstalling Poser + the fix. Fingers x'd!

I'm using Poser 8 with the latest fix. The shadow thing started after a sudden and bad crash which destroyed the file I was working on. I thought it might be that..but I was playing with the dials too before that so it could be that too. Anyways, thanks so much. I'll try yr various suggestions and post back here.
Cheers, Jackie

The price list page shows the reduced prices in red..but the product page for Vue Complete shows $599

but after clicking that cute little buy button the reduced price shows. Thanks - I wouldn't have checked again if you hadn't posted.
Do you know if Vue Esprit is better than Complete? IÂ have Vue 6 Esprit so I could upgrade, but there's no comparison chart between products so I'm not sure which to buy. IÂ want as much as possible for as little money as possible ;-)Â Jackie

Wow! Looking forward to your new product. I was going to take advantage of Poser 2010 $70 upgrade offer, but I won't bother :-)
