I can assure you nothing is malicious about the ads displayed through the Google Ad Network.

I encourage to read this link from Google on its extensive review process for ads submitted through its network, which also includes its policies for governing websites on its network:

Thanks for all of the responses. It is a legitimate concern from a photographer's perspective. It turns out 97% of the entire membership here at Renderosity has an interest in 3D modeling, so as a result that is usually what you will see covered on the front page. However, it doesn't mean we want to leave out you photographers (or other types of artists) as well. We currently include the Photography Gallery as part of our Gallery of the Week feature, and Photography is an included category in our annual contests.

In addition, we also have the Photography subcommunities section where we encourage you to visit and help grow by interacting with other photographers on the site. And of course we do have a Stock Photography section in the MarketPlace that could certainly use more quality stock photos from our members.

We are already working to add more quality content to the front page for the new year, and this includes more of our community spotlights that we have done in the past. We would love to include a photographer in one of these spotlights, so if you have someone in mind that would make a great interview, feel free to site mail me with their contact info.

We also have some other things in the works that I can't talk about just yet that should help spotlight artists of different disciplines on a regular basis.

Again, I encourage you to spread the word on some of the photography related things we already have going on here at Renderosity, as well as actively participate in the Photography subcommunity. There have been issues in the past with Affiliate Ads we run conflicting with certain anti-virus and spyware programs.  This has been resolved previously with patches and updated provided by the anti-virus software manufacturer. 

If you could post what type of software you are using so I can check to see if they have any updates, I would appreciate it.  Thanks!
