Thanks everyone for you help. I've decided to just reformat my HD, re-install WinXP, and go from there. Unfortunately, I've run out of time to investigate what actually caused this to happen in the first place. Thanks again!

Poser 5 with the latest patches. Just to check to see if the patches caused the trouble, I installed Poser from scratch. It acts up even from the base install, even before I add the patch to remove the registration foobar.

Thanks geep, but that didn't work. I have no idea what could be interfering with Poser's interface, and I'm not sure when it occurred. Unfortunately, I don't have as much time to work with Poser as I used to, so it's been months since I last used it. The only things that have changed would be MS patches. But I'm using the same patches directly from MS, that everyone else is. It's beyond me why I'm the the only one having this problem. perplexed!

Thanks guys!!!! I really appreciate you explaining this stuff to me. Although I'm not a complete newby, I just don't have time to get into the more advanced aspects of Poser. You guys are the greatest, for taking the time to explain this stuff as well as you did. Thanks again, and may Poser Be With You!! jlbrown907

Insomniaworks - I know this is going to sound like a stupid question, but what is the difference between a prop and a figure? I mean, why would I want to make.....say a hammer model....a figure instead of just just leaving it as a prop? (This is assumming that the hammer has no moving parts (joints,...) Thanks JB
