Me again, I'm afraid. I've just been doing some dabbling with soft and hard body physics, and I'm really excited by the way it works and the possibilities it offers, yet very frustrated too because for some reason Andy keeps falling through the ground plane.
I'm using 2014 Pro, and I've used a sphere from props to hit Andy in the hip region, and whilst I recognise that I've got some fine tuning to be done to the soft and hard physics, as a beginner I'm pretty buoyed by the results. HOWEVER, I can't stop Andy sliding down through the floor (ground). Having watched countless tutorials over the last year or so I seem to recall there's a simple solution for this, but for the life of me I can't remember what it is. So if someone can help I will once again be extremely grateful.Ā

Quote - What you read is really a myth. Ā V4 and her morph packs can be placed into an external runtime, but they must be together in the same runtime. Ā That is the requirement. Ā I have my original V4 and Morph ++ pack in my Poser 7 runtime and that folder is linked to my PoserPro, PP2010, PP2012, and PP2014. Ā She still works like a charm.
Thanks again; I wish I knew that before I spent more time moving her from one runtime to another. Having said that, I couldn't get the V4 to V3 to work. I kept getting a pop up telling me some files couldn't be found, and then every element of the hierarchy popped up to tell me it couldn't be found either, so I had to go through the very tedious task of clicking each pop up off before I could carry on. Since moving that file to the Poser runtime I've not tried to see if it now works, though, because I daren't risk it still not working and having to go through that very annoying process yet again.

Quote - There is one icon entitled Morphs ++Ā that will load all the morph dials at once. Ā It is generally one folder level above the individual morphs. Ā The problem with loading all morphs into V4 is that it makes the figure file very large when saved. Ā
Thanks hborre, I think I've found that and applied it, which seems to do the trick.
I hope I've got her properly loaded though, as I originally put her into an external runtime, only to then read the help notes and discover that that's unadvisable, whereupon I moved her to the main Poser runtime. The trouble is it's very easy to get a bit lost, so I hope I now have all the right files in all the right places.

Quote - V4 has been around much longer than Roxie and, still, is promoted and used heavily. Ā Her added advantage, as a DAZ figure, is her conversion to weightmapping. Ā
Roxie is a Poser legacy figure and unfortunately, many legacy figures through the years have not been promoted too well. Ā For content, you will need to search around. Ā If you have PP2014, the fitting room would be your best bet to try and convert clothing.
Thanks, the penny's dropped on that question now, and I've now gone ahead and purchased V4.2 and 4.2 Morphs ++.
However, having done so and loaded her into Poser, I'm again a bit baffled because it seems to add a morph I have to load it from the content library, and only then will a morph dial appear in parameters so I can adjust it as I like. Then for each subsequent morph I have to go through the same process again and again, which seems tedious to say the least. Is that how it works with V4 in Poser, or am I doing something (probably extremely obvious) wrong?

Hi Wolf359 - where can I find more of your Poser animation video tutorials. I've learned a lot just from the five linked to above, so if you have more I'd really like to get hold of them.
Cheers, Age
Thread: Help Please - Animating With Layers | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Quote - hi, I'm running PoserPro 2014, and the layers behave as they should.
In the Layers tab, you've got Current Layers Only, Include In Playback and a Composite Method to choose (all at the left side of the panel), having some of those (un)checked might affect what you're seeing in the preview.
Thanks for your helpful response. I'm using Pro 2014 too (I should have mentioned that in my initial post), so I'll go take a look and see if I can sort it out.
After my post I started practicing some animations without the layer function or editing tools, just using the dope sheet and the graph, and it worked really, really nicely, so I'm now feeling quite confident againĀ

Quote - Want To Load Up Characters With Morphs Already loaded?
This example is for V4.
Fed up loading V4 and then adding the morphs etc.
Can I ask why so much focus seems to go on V4? I've been using Daz to create images but now I want to get into animation, for which Poser seems much better suited. I tried to get my Genesis figures into Poser using the DSON, but after hours of frustration I had to give up. So now I'm focussing on using Roxie, but there's so little content for her, yet so much for V4, I'm left to wonder why this is and get very frustrated that so much of the content I want to use seems to be designed for a character I'm unable to use, because I was thwarted in my attempts to get her into Poser.
Any advice/info would be very much appreciated.
