I have a dual 400 PII and 256 Megs of Ram. Render Times in poser are next to nill :) I am reunning under Win 2000 2128 and everything works nice. I can run Max R3 Poser Bryce and Photoshop with no slow downs. I dunno but this is nice and fast. I built this hummer myself and have had no truck with problems. If speed probs are your troubles bro, it probably means overheating. Check in your case and see A) How many cooling fans you have (I have 5, 2 on chips 3 in case itself to push air out and in.) b) BIOS setting for overclocking (DO NOT OVERCLOCK no matter what! It burns up chips and on duals it is very dangerous to chips mother board and fires.) c) Your OS. Are you running Win NT 4? What SP? SP5 solved a few problems with mother boards and chip configurations....If your under 2000 What RC? also check your priorities...Is Poser 4 using both processors? Hope this helps. Local

Hey if you guys were doing this for money you would think there would be a membership fee!....This is a hudge forum and it must soak up band-width in return for your expense of us you put up a banner or associate with a bigger dog. NP I click the banner everytime I come here. The company I work for pays $10 gig for bandwidth. Not a lot? yea it is everytime a person comes to our domain we get roughly 150K less that equals about 1000 people before we get gigged....that is why we joined Amazon.com Associates program. No you guys arent in a political race and if you were you would loose :) not enough money on those banners to be in it for the mucho dinero and selling names on a contact list doesnt bring in anything. I suggest those who feel this is a profitable venture to get a domain (thats roughly 150 to start) and buy bandwidth. Then set everything up for free (CGI classes are not cheap and it is a fairly hard language to learn) and then after 50000 hits (or 79.99 a month) tell me its all for profit. Oh the average non-porn banner rakes in 22 cents and or a percentage of a sale. I hope this site does make so cash! That way it will be around longer..... hey man if you want a toatl package at a great price get 3d Studio Max R3! I love it. If you get some plugins itll import OBJs and Light Wave files. Its fairly easy to dig into and extremly hard to really become a "expert". I have used Lightwave and I do not like it! Many windows to do one thing...not for me although it is a excellent package I do not recomend it. Ray Dream is a great starter but if you get serious you will want more power. If you want simplicity and complexity get TrueSpace. Although I dont usually recommend it it is easy and offers IK joints and many particle solutions under Dynamics. Also there a bunch of plugins. I like the 3d Paint feature in it, Although I choose 3d Studio Max for my work I recommend different programs for diffrent people, depending on time, application, and you willingness to learn. If you are a 10 on all those levels than MAX bro if you a 7 Truespace and if your a 5 Raydream Bryce and Poser. Please do not take this as insult I have and use all those except Truespace which sits on a shelf, and Lightwave which also sits with dust on it. Ohhh Yea Max (if you look) is 2799 on sale. Sorry dont have link damn HDD shit the bed:) but normal price is 3499.... Local
