I'm just wondering, is there anyone else using EZDome on macOS?
I will be using it as soon as I have it installed...

Thread: Snarly's scripts and Poser 12 | Forum: Poser 12

One of the issues that have arisen with the release of P12 is the correction of many nodes that were not working properly from the beginning from P11. Without addressing those needs first, any Python Scripts created for P12 would need to be updated as well, especially those involving specialty nodes. Imagine the outrage of users relying on those Scripts having to update them on a regular basis just to keep up with the builds. Many of us Early Adopters have reported countless support tickets on problems that transcended from P11 and those unintentionally broken by tech support. It has taken time, maybe a little too long, but in the long run, we may have a better product to work with. Many have managed to find work arounds and at the same time have learned Poser a little bit better.
What do you mean by "Correction of many nodes"? I have been using Poser forever, but please forgive me, I just not sure what his means.
Might be the Covid jab I had last night... (Feeling a bit scattered today and my arm hurts, but glad I had it)

Thread: Snarly's scripts and Poser 12 | Forum: Poser 12
I think Snarly is great - His scripts are simply awesome...
All this stuff about Python versions is a distraction from the thread - Truth is that if a software provider changes something and "deprecates" components, then they should really provide a path to migrate existing scripts - It is part of their accountability - We are using their product to make things - If they want to future-proof their product and therefore keep their customer base, then that is the obvious thing to do.
They used to do it - Even Microsoft (to a degree)...
Greed is the issue - It costs more so they cannot be bothered and push all the fixing out to the community...
That includes Bondware/Poser - They have a beautiful product and should really have produced the equivalent of Ezskin so that both render engines can be used.
And any future render engines...
Snarly does his work out of the kindness of his heart and we are all using it free - He has to put up with what the corporates do but is not responsible for their behaviour.
Perhaps we should support Snarly and find out what we can do to help him convert the scripts that we know and love so much.
Or ask Bondware to help him convert it, pay him for the product and include it as part of Poser... win, win, win

Hi Snarlygribbly,
Have been waiting for your fantastic scripts... In fact, I have just upgraded to poser 12 (still have Poser 11 running too).
Do you need any help with them? Perhaps I could help test, or something?
Just wanted to say how much of a fan I am and that your scripts, such as Ezskin, have meant that poser still lives!
Thank you for everything you have done to keep Poser living and breathing, without your scripts it would have died.
Looking forward to getting them, would be great to have an update?
All the best... LA

Hi Snarlygribbly, I hope you are OK in these strange times...
Just wondering if you needed any help with testing your scripts, such as Ezskin4? Or if you managed to convert to python 3 yet?
If you did, is there a place where I can get the new scripts?
Thanks for everything you have done, are doing and might do in the future - You have made poser so brilliant!

PLEASE make collisions work properly... I have tried many times but cannot seem to get it to work. When a figure is leaning on a bar, or has an arm grabbed... The skin needs to indent or else the figure looks as if it is made of solid marble... With the object embedded in it. This one feature would make a massive difference to the quality of rendering possible - I mean, it might just be me, but I cannot for the life of me make it work as expected - See https://www.daz3d.com/ghost-dynamics for an interesting looking approach. I really think Poser would take a huge step forward if this was better - It would make for a much better 3D stage...

I love Bryce - Did the beta testing a while ago - but now using a Mac... Would be great to see 64 bit on Mac... Still runs on my laptop happily :)

Just left this message with Smith Micro support: Can you confirm that this has been raised with Smith Micro as a bug and please.
If they don't know about it, they wont fix it...
It's never too late to fix an urgent, low risk bug.
Please confirm that this has been formally raised as a bug with Smith Micro
Thread: Mohave and Poser | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Smith Micro have told me that they are not addressing the issue and that I should roll back my OS to the previous version...
They said that there is an update due in the next few weeks but that Mojave is not supported and they are not going to fix this simple issue.
With updates to Poser only once a year, they are effectively telling me to roll back my OS for a year.
I am unhappy. I really do love Poser, but this issue means I have to manually save every render (Good or bad) in order to compare them, or even find them.
If anyone has an idea of how to resolve this from the OS, I'd be very grateful!

Still having the issue... My render thumbnails are in an apparently random sequence...
Please help if you can - May be a Mojave setting rather than Poser, but I can't find it...
Thanks in advance...
Thread: Mohave and Poser | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Am having an issue with Mojave and have raised a ticket with SmithMicro that they keep "Resolving" but the issue is not resolved...
The render previews are in weird sequence, meaning that they are pretty useless. I have to try and search through 100 to find tha last one I did, if i can remember.
Does anyone have a fix for this?

Shhh. Don't get discouraged,. There will be some fresh life brought into the world of Poser soon. Specifically.
No questions while I mop up from the leak.,.
Makes me very happy. I love Poser. Thank you.
