Yup - that's the "ink jet printer" marketing style. Get M4 free or cheap, but you'll need to pay to use the way you want. As a paid member at Daz, I've even noticed a trend to put out new outfits for V4 with 1 mediocre texture & sell for $1.99 on sale, then offer 3 or 4 cooler "texture packs" for $6-7. But hey, the fine folks at Daz3D (like me) have rent to pay, gas to put in the car. V4 (if you have her Morphes) even has a male form, which isn't bad for simple uses.

By the way, luv your Simple Mistu textures for A3's Mitsu hair. My A3 rarely wears anything but Mitsu, Shigi or KiriTe hair.
Many Thanks.
Thread: Why I hate Second Life: | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Hmm, interesting thread ... but don't lose your health over it.
As an engineer doing many patentable things ... I don't bother since I'm small and don't have a million$ legal fund. Quoting copyright laws means nothing if you are not willing to HIRE a lawyer in the country where the OFFENDER lives. Plus even then, cases where small companies go into debt & struggle for years to sue over patent infringement usually end with the same story: The offender just moves across town and starts up again with a new name; hello square one.
DAZ will view this the same way as the credit-card companies handle fraud ... we lose $X per quarter; spending 10 times X to save X doesn't make sense.
Any of these people who give your work away or sell it, if you spend huge emotional effort to stop them ... they will be doing it again tomorrow as someone else with a new name. So be diliggent, plug up the holes you can but don't take it personally or let your health suffer.

I guess several 3D/graphic sites are down - some server trouble. It's being worked upon, here's another thread.Thread: Looking for portable ankle and wrist slave stock | Forum: Freestuff
Content Advisory! This message contains violence
The V4 is shown rather oddly angled in the thumbnail - it is a long body-length clamp. Imagine someone sitting, leaning against the wall with their hands on their knees. The 'stock' clamps their neck, wrists and ankles in that seated position. It's almost like the old movie of the hero/heroine lashed to the poles of the jungle natives, with a heavy bar along the front.
Thread: heavy cable? | Forum: Freestuff
Even if you're not looking for the heavy cables - StoneMason's site is a wonder to behold! Quite a few nice around-townish freebies.
... kind of makes me want to go bury my computer in the back yard in shame ... haha, but I won't. Keep on plugging away, learning to get better.

gachidon has some like that - not that exact one, but free ones for ankles & feet separate. Plus there is a new morphing one for V4 on that page, rather funky which is making the rounds of the special galleries.(Don't worry about the first page in Japanese - suppose it's the "Warning: 18-years ..." just click the FreeStuff link)
Thread: Astronaut model wanted | Forum: Freestuff
Here is a freebie - it depends on HOW realistic you mean. If you want a "reasonable" one for A3, then go here and scroll down; you'll find two by shukky.

By "reasonable" I mean they are believable - not Super Hero CosPlay
(While you're at it, get the free 100 poses for A3 below it - I use these all the time & find them useful for general life; not so bizzare artsy poses as most packs how now.)
Thread: Poser Insufficient Memory Problem | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I wonder if you just have a cross-talk problem? Are you by chance putting the same outfit or item on both figures? If somehow the two items end up infinitely referencing each other, Poser would run out of memory even if you have 1024GB of ram (eventually anyway :-) )
I think it's clear no one here thinks you need an 8GB Vista x64 system just to render 2 V4.2 figures (I have XP-Pro w 4GB, Quad-core and I often do 2 V4.2 and up to 5 A3's in one scene - no problem, other than the PZ3/PMD's get 100MB+)
However, I have had bad objects stop renders - often with no message at all. The Render just runs 5 or 10 minutes, then shows me a gray image, happy as can be.
Things which have stopped me in the last month:
As for the USB limit, I'd heard that but I think it depends on the software/hardware versions because I have several 20+GB files on my external USB drive (they are encrypted TrueCrypt files). They work fine.
