Thread: Trouble putting Poser and UV Mapper together. | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
HEY! Major progress! Phil, your suggestions and one from P. Mason to always delete the rsr file, enabled me to make all parts of the figure visible, though with a lot of cleaning up required. The last major hurdle is handling the texture. The figure uses my texture, but it looks for everything right where it would be on the "Nudewoman.tif" (spelling uncertain here, but it's the one that came with the FemaleNudeHiP3.obj, just as though I never had made a template on UVMapper and carefully painted over it. The iris is right on my model's lip. Now, here's how I happened to get group names like "hip:2" in the first place: I got my original model by adjusting the figure, hem length, etc., in Poser and imported the cr2 file directly into UVMapper (You can do this, but I really found out that it carries a price). This also has the effect of listing all my UV changes in the cr2 file under the heading "geomCustom". I'll send the actual files if I have to, but it will tie up phone lines and server for about an hour. best, Milt

Hey! I get answers from the cream of the field! To Lyrra: As a figure, it does an utter travesty of rendering. It renders very well if I import it as an obj, but then, as stated, it's only a prop. To PhilC & SteveShanks: The groups as listed in UVMapper are abdomen:2, chest:2...hip:2, hip:2 private, hip:2 promotional, hip:2 promotional2...rtoe:2 --- The same groups as the original model (except possibly for the ":2) plus the 3 hip groups I added. Only the added groups show on the Poser screen when the cr2 is opened. To Lemurtek: The new groups show up just fine, as stated above. It's the original groups that are missing. Any more help would be appreciated. Milt

It's still active, and it is up now, but it obviously has been down for most of the past 2 weeks, and I have not had a chance to determine why. In any event, not 5 % of its usual activity. Thanks all. Best, Milt
