(above picture) I looked close up. The spot that looks like a "poke throughs" is a light reflection. 

I did find a "poke throughs" using a different Pose and an extreme close-up but I think it was do to an overstretched joint. M_L_R

Hi Jules53757: Above, is a Poser pose, not the creator's pose. 

I'll try a few poses that expose more areas. If they're good, I'll post them soon.

I applied the Pose "DarkRainHideMe" after the 1st (and only) workflow because there were still "poke throughs".

Then I went through the workflow. 

note: at this point I have not used "AddDeformers pose" because so far it looks good. 

The clothes now fit. 

To this point, "poke throughs" are gone.

I applied the Pose "DarkRain" (supplied in DarkRain's: Pose >DarkEdge >Alyson > DarkRain Folder). 

Then I went through the workflow. 

The clothes now fit. 

Still a few "poke throughs", but I'm still experimenting.

Last night I purchased Dark Rain For Poser 8 - Dark Rain by Dark Edge Design. 

Alyson's (of Poser 8) toes are outside her footwear, and Leotard (shirt) does not cover her breasts, plus other misfits. 

I read through this whole forum string. 

After having to manually point Poser 8 to the "Dark Rain" clothing components ... 

1. (new Poser 8 project) Load Alyson of Poser 8 on to the Canvas 

xx. Inject All morphs (I'm new to Poser. I don't know what this means, yet) 
Alyson was in her "T" pose (if that's what "Inject All morphs" means). 

1. Load the first part of the clothing and conform to Alyson 

2. Select Alyson 

3. Load the next part of the clothing and conform to Alyson 

4. Select Alyson 

5. Load the next part of the clothing and conform to Alyson ...

the ReadMe file mentions using Alyson of Poser 8. 

I also tried Alyson_LowRes and Alyson_DEV with Ideal Adult, Fashion Model, Heroic Model. 

In the "ReadMe" file is written the following ... "There is a Hide Me pose (DarkEdge:Alyson:DarkRain) to eliminate poke throughs."

You did a very good job keeping your full size image as clean as it is, considering it's larger than the actual FoodCan.jpg skin that Poser uses.
"Primordial Soup". Poser has a sense of humor.

Hi NoelCan: I don't have OS 10.6 yet.
Other than the upcoming SR1 update (release expected within Sept), have you experimented with OS 10.6's new "Grand Central Station" application and Poser's accessibility to processor threads (in Poser 8's Preferences >Render Tab) ?
As well as the "Separate Process" option in the same tab.
I'm not an experienced Poser user yet, but I think render settings need to be individualize according to the complexity of each of your Poser 8 projects.
I find rendering in Poser (probably most 3D software) more complex than the 2D software I am familiar with. 
I apologize if I'm mentioning things you are already aware of. 
Maybe DgerzeeBoy (three Posts above) can help you or you could start a new forum string which will be more visible.

I noticed after doing an Area Render, "Bag of Chips" cleaned up but "Can" Text did not. 

Hit and miss, but minor.

I've decided to keep Poser 8.
Originally I put (Poser 8's Props) "Can", "Bag of Chips" ... on the Preview canvas then scaled them up to a size I might possibly use. The Text on the Props were unacceptably blurry so I became suspicious about other content I might use in the future.
I feel confident that generally, large content will be clear or I can find larger Props if needed.
I just needed to hear from experienced users, Poser is commonly used in larger media (HDTV, HDDVD ...). 
cspear: I do realize 2000px = 2000px whether it's 72dpi or 300dpi :) 
cspear: because of your information, I realized I can go into Poser 8's folder library (in my computer's application folder) and see for myself, the size of .jpgs Poser is using for skins.
For the most part, they are a lot bigger than I expected which make me confident about keeping Poser 8.
