Quote - Lets face it, no new character will ever take off at this point.
People complain that there are no new characters of any value, and as soon as a new one is released it is bashed to pieces before it can even take hold.
Lots of people wanted standardized versions on Antonia. How long did that last?
Then they wanted a weight mapped version of Antonia, Same deal...
People wanted a weight mapped V4, that didn't last much longer.... And there are more than a few versions now to boot.
I could go on and on, but the story is the same. The arm chair developers control what happens to a figure by what they post.
There are a lot of arm chair developers around that bash everything that appears, because it isn't "insert whatever". Some have never even downloaded it and admit that. Sort of ironic isn't it....
If anyone else thinks they can create the next big figure, best of luck.
You can give people exactly what they ask for, and they still complain about "insert whatever".
Been there, done that......... On many characters....
The only way to force a new characters reign, is to remove reverse compatability in the programs. We all know that wont happen any time soon. The arm chair developers would have a fit....
/Carry on......

You hit the nail on the head with this post. I have a feeling the same group of people would bad rap the second coming of Christ....."Oh look...he's wearing sandals!"

I got a pm this morning, from someone I don't know. Then HW started being up/down -- then I got kicked off and couldn't log in...THEN my computer went wonky -- I was about to think something was off, too. :-)

Same thing happened to me, Jan. Right after that, I tried logging into the usual 3D sites I visit and all my cookies had been deleted. Had to manually log into every one of them. Just plain weird!

Oh wow! You are certainly doing this at the right time! My choices would be:
V4 to Dawn
V4 to Roxie
M4 to Dawn's male counterpart (not developed yet)
Standalone or addon to reality paint....either way is good. Keeping fingers crossed this happens soon!

Quote - Don't get me wrong here, Dawn is really pretty and I am impatiently waiting for release. A pretty face but her body is a semi-toon. It is an impossible thin waist and a small hip. That what I was talking about, we go away from real models to fantasy shapes without seeing it. We end up in galleries filled with toony fairies and pixie shapes. For excample: I've never seen a healthy woman in my life , where the y-scale lenght of her head was more than her x-scale waist width. Try yourself. Pick out some beauties from some magazines and measure her proportions. It  s o.k. to do fantasy creatures, but I just see a problem here in how we look at woman and what Ideals we evolve. It's here in Poser and in real life too. The amount of cosmetic surgeries is increasing.
I have to disagree with the "impossible thin waist" part. When I was younger, (many, many, moons ago), I was sewing my own clothes and had to take measurements for getting patterns to fit me. At 5'2" and 114 lbs I was sorta petite with body at 34-20-32. I had the hourglass figure that Dawn has and I have fairly long legs for that height. Even now, at age 62, my waist still indents quite a bit although it doesn't look quite the same as it did in my 20's and 30's  Age and gravity have taken their toll!

Hi! Â Okay, I think it is safe to say you will probably be seeing a Sarsa/Thorne Dawn Dolly (or two) in the future...

Wow! This is such great news for the 3D community! After reading all the posts, and seeing all the familiar names and vendors that are supporting this new figure, I can't wait for her to be released! You can bet I'll be there when the site launches...credit card in hand lol. So....when is Thorne gonna pop her head in and say hi ? (purely supposition on my part....I know that Sarsa, Mada and Thorne are not all really joined at the hip) Â Exciting times, indeed!
