My purchase history says "sorry, no purchase history found"?? I have 10 years worth of purchases in this store..I dread to think how many individual items that is, but certainly a few thousand...I need to be able to find updated/lost items easily...as I could before your latest site update. Thanks

Thread: Windows 8 and Poser | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I've been using Windows8 for the last week, and I LOVE IT! It cost me £25.00 as an upgrade from '7' (from Microsoft) I decided that at that price it was worth sticking on my (hardly used) laptop, just to mess around with...after all the bad press I'd heard, I really didn't think I would like it but I have to say I've been very pleasantly surprised. 20 minutes messing with it and it's almost 2nd nature...very logical I think, and very 'slick' also really fast. I'm upgrading my work PC to W8 in a week or two...I'm just going to check on the Pixologic site for any compatabillity issues with ZBrush (from what I hear most people have had no issues with Poser Pro 2012, so were good there!) and a further check with e-on RE Vue10, and we're good to go, no worries!

Thread: Poser 8 "cannot load texture" problem solved | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
OK I just found something else; PLEASE READ
Following on from something I read elswhere I decided to put my problematic Runtimes BACK onto my spare drive (D) but where I have texture folder names that start with the same letters, ie;
Victoria4 clothes...Victoria4 hair...Victoria4 shoes etc
I renamed the files; Victoria4 clothes...aVictoria4 hair...bVictoria4 shoes etc.
I did this to any Texture folders that started with the same first letter and, Lo and Behold, it workes like a dream...SO, it's NOT underscores that are my problem.
I now have a perfectly working Poser 8 with EXTERNAL Runtimes on a separate drive and it took me just 10 minutes to sort! Anyone else done this?

Quote; Just copy the problematic textures files to the P:oser 8 runtimes and the problem is gone.
aeilkema, I tried doing that without success so it does appear that what will work for one system won't for another....what a pain!

Quote; Once the bugs are eradicated, this'll be the Best Poser ever!
Your rite there TrekkieGrrrl. Now that I at least am up and running and using Poser 8 the thing I have noticed is that the renders are awesomely fast compared to past versions, without exageration, on my sytem about 10 times faster on a basic render. Fantastic!
Thread: Poser 8 "cannot load texture" problem solved | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Sure TrekkieGrrrl, it shouldn't have to be like this but it really has been a major headache for me so , at the moment, ANY workaround that enables me to use pose files and render without constantly searching for texture files from the material room is good for me. I hope that SM do sort this one. I wrote this not to imply a complete solution (at least I hope I didn't?) but to maybe get some folk at least useing Poser8 again, which until now I ,at least , had stopped doing.
As for your comment "So there must be something else that triggers the error" Your of course absolutely right and whatever it is I believe it's been inherent, in one form or another , for ages. There allway's appears to be some pretty basic bug's in poser that that right from launch adversly effects some systems and not others...or could it be software conflicts? whatever, I personally, have never used any other software (either 2D or 3D) that has caused me so many headaches .
I use Poser at a fairly basic level but I can understand that for a developer the situation is pretty unacceptable but hopefully SM will get Poser sorted, at least they replied to my ticket which is a lot more than either CL or EF did. Fingers crossed ah?

Just the dogs? Lucky you, I can't apply textures to anything at all using the Matt poses...'have to do everything via the material room, trying to find textures by hand is a pain!

I do hope that they've also sorted the "unable to load texture" problem tha's been inherent since "5" ???
Thread: Smith Micro and Poser 8...a review | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
*"You basically said Poser should remain what it was originally and that was just a tool for real artists to pose figures that they could draw or paint from as models."
*I don't believe I ever said that I wanted Poser to stay just the way it was, nor did I either call or imply myself to be a "real" artist What I did was stated the simple truth as to my own particular use for Poser and that Poser after all was, and is, made for simple posing and rendering among other, more serious things (read the advertizing matter " easily create 3d charachter art and animation"..."EASILY") I made the unfortunate missuse of capital letters in part of my post which you decided must be an act of aggression...? far from it, it was actually despair! So, i'll put it again ; the only thing that "I" ask is that when I buy a new version of Poser, or any other software for that matter, I believe that it's reasonable for me to expect the most basic part of it to work? I have no Idea as to how ambient occlusion and such like works and I have the utmost of respect for those that do. I did not complain about RSR conversion (don't even know what it is!) I simply said i would like to see larger thumbs in the library..Oh, I did come to the aid of thomasrjm and state that I didn't see why someone who's just bought poser 8 should have to resort to the use of Poser 7 (which they may not even have) to enable them to use it! I did not ever mention the Poser4 renderer, indeed, since Poser 5 i've never used it!
At the begining of this post I basically sided with JAG in my dissapointment of this release of Poser and SM (in my particular case the last 3 releases) although my reasons may be different I made in this and other posts perfectly valid and reasonable complaints, as have all else here. For some reason LostinSpaceman you missenterpret everything I say...I have obviously in someway, somewhere offended you? I do appologise.
To everyone else here I also sincerely appologise If I have in any way unwittingly caused offence
Thread: Smith Micro and Poser 8...a review | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Hmm, I agree wholeheartedly JAG. Be very carefull though, I recently said things here along verry similer lines and got slated from certain quarters....it was even suggested that maybe I should go back to using Poser1 if I just wanted to do "simple renders"
Right with you JAG
