Thank you Sam for this thread. Happened on it by accident, but it's been a positive education. :)

http://www.renderosity.com/viewed.ez?galleryid=443565 The character and the colors (which were a happy accident) just came together so well on a day I was just fooling around. http://www.renderosity.com/viewed.ez?galleryid=999880 My best post work to date. http://www.renderosity.com/viewed.ez?galleryid=148917 I don't rant often, but this was one of the best ones. http://www.renderosity.com/viewed.ez?galleryid=133404 An old work and sentimental favorite. My first piece of Poser art where I really stretched myself. Hard to believe it's been so long since my P3 days.

Nice... You've got enough stuff here to make a bunch of simple customs off of one figure. Nice detailing too. Going to have to keep this in mind if I need some mecha anytime soon.
Thread: Meta Form from Weird Juice - has anybody tried it yet? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL

Reposted from DAZ Forums: --------------- Well, I got it and I used it and this is what happened...(see link and image)
I like the results, except for all the black at the end, which I'm still trying to figure out how to control. I think it's related to the smoke effect on particle decay, but I'm not sure.
However, to get to the results, I had some problems.
Test rendering at display settings went fine, but if I tried to render the image in full render quality, Metaform would laugh and call me a loser.
Actually, all it would do was either lock up, or fire several memory errors at me and then lock up, but it felt like it was taunting me.
The only way I got it to render an animation was to turn off any background programs, render as frames, and render at 320 X 240 (anything larger caused lockup) It was quite frustrating. (For the record, I am running P5 with 1 GB RAM on a Pentium 4 machine.)
Let's put it this way: I love it when I can get it to work, but getting there is a chore. I'm willing to entertain suggestions on how to get around the memory problems, as I'd like to experiment more. I also think it would be cool if there was some way to replace the metaball objects created by the emitter with flat planes that always face the camera which could be mapped creating a much less memory intestive fire or sparks or some such.
I may work on this again later, there are things that need fixing, but not just now.
My $.02

Not so sure about that. A good chunk of my gallery is history as of one minute ago - Sep 19, 2003 to Jan 3, 2003.

I'll try that, see if I can see corrolations. Thanks English Bob. To answer the details I left out (sorry I was posting in a hurry at the time) - this is a patched version of Poser 4. It's not the most packed image I've done in it so far (this image was a larger file size, but has about the same number of characters, though less complex environment), but it is starting to push the limits I think. Again, thanks for the advice. I'm hoping for the best.
