Two Towers: I'm waiting for the collector's edition to be released in November. It's going to have extra footage just like the Fellowship had! Last time I made the mistake of buying the Fellowship and then had to fork out for the collector's edition as well!

So, we've discovered one of the culprits of the piss & moan off-topic contest?!? Personally, I like the variety of posts in here and don't mind anything as long as it somehow is related to poser, and yes, that includes commercial posts. I mean, neftis was creating a cool figure and people chased her out of here. I for one was happy to see something non-anime and now I can't even view that because of whiners! Like Gothic-Ice said, if you don't like it, stop coming here!!

Does anyone see the irony here in these people complaining about "digital art" and yet they post their artwork on a computer in a "digital" format? I am personally not threatened by people making these comments as I know my abilities in both traditional and "un-traditional" artistic mediums. If you know you're an artist and you are confident in your abilities, who cares what other people say of your chosen medium?? Digital art is the way of the future and I have no problem with the term Computer Generated or CG Artist. I'm actually quite proud of it. My two cents...

Like I said before, this is the best drow texture I've ever seen. The black obsidian look to the skin is perfect. Glad to see that someone is paying attention to detail in creating the awesome drow!!

Josh, I know what you mean, but it still doesn't look all that great to me. The simulation of strands running down her forehead look more like wires to me than actual strands of hair. Hair should appear delicate and this looks like that bendy wire you can buy at the art supply store. It doesn't match to the delicate look of her eyelash or eyebrow hair.

Seems to me that lately there's been a lot of whining in these forums (myself included). Maybe everyone needs to take a chill-pill and get back to creating art. Isn't that why we're all here in the first place??

I don't know.. I look and look at renders of the Poser 5 hair and I just don't like it. For all the time it takes to render and so forth it just looks crummy. Usually, it's so bright that it doesn't even match the lighting of the rest of the picture, or it's so crinkly it either looks burned or made of hay. I'll stick to the traditional hair models for now.

My boyfriend's hair does that same thing. Actually.. this hair reminds me of my boyfriend's hair! Good job.

I think it is funny about the whole texture thing and how they cost more than the original item. What is up with that? I realize there's a certain process involved with making a decent texture, but c'mon..

XOCONOSTLE: My argument is based purely on assumption, and as such, has no true validity other than to state the "possibility" of it happening. The only reason I mention this is because everywhere I look I see ads stating that if you're a PC member you will get 30% off of M3 when he arrives. I've not seen one remark on whether or not non-pc members will get any kind of a sale. Prior to this whole PC mess beginning, everyone benefited(sp?) from sales on introductory products. I have a feeling that come M3, DAZ is going to use that release as a kicker to get more people to sign up with their PC membership. Perhaps I'm wrong, hopefully, I am.
