Thanks for contest - it took me a bit to get into the swing (I also found the rules very off-putting), but it ended up being lots of fun!

Well, mistletoe was enough to take out a god in Norse myth - but the mistletoe was in a bad mood and very pokey!

No violence... does that mean no Christmas Combat scenes?  Darn it!  That's the first place my imagination went... ;-P  Sorry, St. Nick, you'll have to put down the Yule axe, now...

#659 is up - this makes is #1 in participation, yes?  How exciting!!!

Although, it will be a little onerous for voters to go through the whole list to look for favorites, which is an unfortunate side-effect.  I hope it manages a good voting turn-out equivalent to the entries, but moreso that people make it through more than the first few pages.  With these kinds of numbers, we almost need heats or something?

Somehow I missed last year's...  but 2014 was the first time I entered anything, so all the massive ones were well before my time :-)   Thank you for providing numerical history, Wolfenshire!

I just have to say I've never seen so many entries to one competition!!!  I think it's awesome, but it makes me wish that there were rounds of voting to give participants better feedback on what caught people's eyes... I'm sure it would be a logistical challenge, though.

How many entries are permitted?

I, too, will miss the contests on Renderosity, and hope that they will return.   I tried entering the Pretty Mystical contest that was on Facebook before - and spent a year trying to get the pieces taken down afterwards.  Never, ever again.

How many people actually go through and keep track of their numbers, though?

... so I did. The numbers per image do not add up to the totals. I used a spreadsheet (because I do not have many images, this was a feasible experiment!) and my listing is short by about 600 views out of 6364, but my likes are inflated by about 30. I have only ever deleted one picture, and it is not included in my spreadsheet. It may be tallying something... but I don't know what.

If it's just me, it doesn't much matter, I suppose :-) Teach me not to look at the irrelevant! Thanks for confirming the universe isn't trying to retcon me ;-)

I couldn't find anyone in the 3D contest who had cross-posted to their gallery... kept re-reading the instructions to see if I was just confused, so I came here for definitive answers. I posted it, but... now I just feel weirdly awkward, like the one kid who stood up to answer a question in class...
