Thread: About my Operation :) | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
They had to completely rebuild my left arm two and 1/2 years ago, including removing and replacing the ulnar nerve entirely. This left me with a huge strip that felt absolutely dead. Compression in your case is a lot less severe. Today ... well, let's just say that if I reach over a lit candle to get something, it HURTS! It didn't even take the full two years the doctor said it would take for the nerve area to entirely regenerate, so you shouldn't have any problems getting that arm back and cooperative. Great to hear that you came through it with flying colours. :)
Thread: Look for a VERY pale blonde Vicky texture | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I've been looking for one as well, and usually the skin will be right, but eyebrows and pubic hair will still be way too dark. I'm fairskinned enough, but I'm a redhead so that won't help, and unfortunately, I don't have any friends that are that pale. I can put a call out, though, and see if I can find a few that are willing to be photographed to create some new textures.

My cybernetic upgrades welcome you to the family. ;) Here's to a gracefully 'slow' recovery so you can be properly adored and babied. Don't be afraid to take your pain meds -- they never really give you enough to risk addiction, and you'll sleep and heal SO much faster if you aren't hurting all the time. Don't worry about asking for help when you need it. And most of all ... as long as we can still laugh at ourselves, we're still doing just fine.

Thread: Poserworld...Fairywoods...Image sells...Popups remind me of warez. Still slow. | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Poppi ... spend the money. In half an hour, I had downloaded more than enough to make my money back 5 times over. There were only a few times that my downloads lagged (and I blame my cable modem there), no popups or ads or ANY garbage at all, just clear clean uncluttered HTML and more fabulous Poser goodies than I've found before in one spot.

Yeah, the frosted lips really help round it out. You might even want to go for a faint silvery pink on the cheeks, or a few bindis and stones to bring her In.
Thread: Painted Hair -- Comments? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Yeah, the PSP brushes are awful for detail on hair. You can never get the edges soft enough and end up with hard lines that you have to rework. The smudge and caustics are pretty efficient though, and the layers and interface are more intuitive than Painter. Painter can be a dream, especially with the camelhair brushes that can do multiple strands at once, and graphic pens and special effects can produce nifty results. I hope Santa gives me a tablet for Christmas.

Sigh. I gotta get more RAM for my poor laptop. I can't render the fabulous high-rez textures.

Let me just now how wonderful you are for adding links to where the props for your textures are located. That's an extra step and makes me very very happy. Thank you!

What was even funnier was that when I opened this thread, the ad at the top was for, you guessed it, Victoria goodies. Damn, there goes another keyboard.
Thread: A few questions about image size and printing | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Something to keep in mind is your image resolution -- default is 72. 72 is relatively lousy for printing. Pump that waaaaaay up, and you can enlarge an image to print without it pixelating or losing detail. CafePress asks for between 200-300 to print, I usually aim for at least 350 or more.

Thread: About tattoos..... | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I've got several tattoos with white in them. Years later ... the white is still white. Extremely so, at least on my bracelet, and that one is over 5 years old. The large design on my hip is almost 11 years old now, had white in it, and still does. What one artist told me about the white is that the skin tone has a lot to do with how white looks and takes. I think what bothers me more about "Poser" tats is that most of the ones I've seen are Black Black Black. They all look like the body has been oiled up to get the skin more translucent over the ink before posing, and while white may fade, so does black. Generally, it's more of a deep deep charcoal after healing.
Thread: Is Anyone using Painter 3D and Do You Reccomend It | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I think any version of Painter is going to be a pain in the butt as far as the learning curve. I do like their colour wheel setup, and a lot of the brushes and "specials" since I have to do all painting with a mouse instead of a tablet. From what I've been told, BodyPaint is the one to look for.
