When you use the morphing tool in Poser your edits are stored in a channel called Custom_Morph. When you're done you're supposed to click the button to save a copy so that your edits are saved into a new channel apart from the current editing channel. I would prefer this morph be just like any other morph target when I'm finished editing it. Not only so that I may export it and apply it to other figures, but also I would of course like the flexibility to be able to create other custom morphs with the same figure at a later time. If this morph is stuck in the editing channel Custom_Morph, then I can't as easily nor as cleanly do that.
Not to mention this is just odd behavior. It isn't the expected result and that's never really a good thing to use as a base for starting further projects. The morph could cause problems down the line for all I know. I'm pretty happy with how the morph turned out and it really took a lot of work, but it corrects a long standing problem I've had with the V4 figure. I'd also like to redistribute it but I can't do that if I can't get it out of the figure.

Nope. Same problem. It's almost as if the deltas are applied in the hip's space while it's still a Custom_Morph, and then when I save it as a copy morph it reverts to applying the deltas in the thigh's space instead, leading to the warping. Meaning the fact that this even works to begin with is kind of a bug. I suppose I can just leave the morphs as Custom_Morph and use the figure that way. Kind of hacky.
I was hoping there was some kind of setting buried in the cr2 file that's enabling this to work the right way, but I couldn't figure it out. This software and it's formats are kind of a mess.

@PhilC: Yes I have a body morph that can dial each of the hip, rthigh, and lthigh parts of the morph. The problem exists if I dial them up from the body or just individually.
@Winterclaw: The point is to try and improve the look when the hip is bent. To illustrate, this is what V4 looks like bent without any morphs.
It doesn't bend right. It looks comical and weird.
