Thread: Can I rename all character, prop, hair files except .obj's & textures ? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Make sure you change the .RSR or .PNG file to match, otherwise you will end up with ghost entries in your library.

Morphs for V won't work with S - the mesh is different - but (some) Michael morphs will work. Textures for V won't work with S - the mapping is different - but there is a modified S available (at 3-D Arena?) which will take V textures. Props, clothes and (at least sometimes) poses will work the same for V and un-morphed S.

You can safely rename CR2, PP2, HR2, PZ2 etc. files, as long as you change the .RSR (or .PNG for ProPack) to match, so you can add the creator's name to the file in you libraries as an instant cross check. Only OBJ files cannot be changed at all (unless you edit the .CR2 or whatever to match); if you change a texture name you will have to tell Poser which file to use (repeatedly if there are several materials).

I'm still checking compatibility on XP, but I've noticed reports of driver problems with Epson 1270s. What people seem to have had success with is allowing XP to install its driver as the default, then add the Epson driver too and pick it from the print dialogue. If you can get the media profiles for your printer, some of which are available from Ian Lyons site above, you may be able to get the printing application to do the CM, switching it off entirely in the driver software.Thread: Michael's Morphing Trenchcoat at DAZ | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
They may have had problems at the weekend - the Hunpack stopped part way on Sat., first time I've had a problem with DAZ

Was the 50% for the whole of April formally confirmed? I just went to splurge and at the moment everything is showing only a 15% discount.
Thread: How do you get a finished look saving in library when using trans, maps? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
It sounds, from your first post, as if you are rendering, saving to disc, importing to background. If so then render (to work window - not sure if it works with render to new window) and paste into background should work as an alternative without the save/load step, assuming you don't want to save the render anyway.

Melanie You can save one step by rendering, then going to Display>Paste onto Background, rather than saving and loading an image.
Thread: Bug in Poser: 72 pixels/inch=300 p/i? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
That's because Word thinks in real-world units - if your image is 425 pixels wide by 550 high @ 100DPI then Word will show it as a quarter of a page (assuming you use US letter size), up resolution to 425DPI and it will become a 1 inch wide marginal illustration

Thanks. Actually I thought Curls de Lux did have at least some morphs from the preview images. Now I just have to figure out which to spend October's discretionary income on.
