Scratch my line where I said "I make sure that the cloth will collide with the cylinder and nothing else" because I forgot that I had it colliding with the ground as well as to create a draping/fanned out effect.

Anyway...here are screencaps for frames 1, 4, 10, and 20...

Hmm...I'd suggest using a different browser, such as Mozilla's Firefox. Internet Exploder (hehe) sucks. Mozilla Firefox - "The Browser Reloaded" ^_^ Jay
Thread: The girl has arrived? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
My first thought when I saw the girl at DAZ: I think DAZ is composed up of a bunch pedophiles. My second thought: She looks just like Koshini, but with bigger...assets. Jay
Thread: Bryce Lives! | Forum: Bryce
I'm happy and all, but I see DAZ turning this into a wallet-emptying-buy-several-things-for-it-to-work program - just like Victoria 3, Michael 3, David... I have a bad feeling about this, but am very curious as to what DAZ has in store for Bryce 6.

Maybe I'm just odd...but within my first month of using Poser 4 (the first one I ever used) I had a pretty ok, basic, knowledge of what I was doing. Then again, I'm a very firm believer in trial & error. Yeah...I wasn't nearly as good as anyone else, but I could at least pose, clothe, and light a figure/scene. However, it was several months before I learned anything about textures/maps/trans maps/anything in the material options menu. I'd suggest reading a few turorials, becomming friends with someone who knows what they're doing and bug the hell out of them (hehehe), and just screwing around. www.3dlinks.com has some really good Poser tutorials. I probably didn't help much, but I hope that you find something I said useful. ^^ Jay P.S. MoxeyH said: "Those characters are a must-have for Poser and are really sort of "standard" for the more realistic clothes/hair/accesories. I'm not trying to plug any particular site or make you spend a lot of cash, but I just want to emphasize that I probably would have lost interest in Poser early on if not for the cool stuff I bought to really sort of put together artwork that I really enjoyed." Ohhhh yeah...Poser and Posette just don't cut it AT ALL (unless you're going for that Barbie and Ken look). It's possible to make them look really good, but it...takes a lot of time and mapping knowledge...I started out (once I was introduced to them) with DAZ3d's Victoria 2 and Michael 2. I now have V3 and M3 and plan to get SP3. They make a world of difference in the realistic aspect of your renderings when compaired to Poser and Posette. So once you get a very basic knowledge of Poser, I'd highly suggest looking into getting one, or both, of them. ^^
Thread: Late nite Poser Trivia. Who did you used to be? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I've always been RedMagickMage, but I do have another username that I used to use to freak people out in chat. lol, but I've long forgotten what it was. Some combination of Poser and Bryce...like Posyce or Bryser...I can't remember. :- As fas as the "naughty" sites go, I'm ReDMagickMage on Rotica too. Shrugs

OMG! I am extatic to be featured here! This is such a suprise! This is such an honor! Thank you! Though I don't really feel that I deserve to be here among such wonderful and talented artists. Congratulations to everyone! Again, thank you so much! :-D
Thread: What?? | Forum: Fractals
Wow. This is all very interesting. I was afraid that because I didn't understand the math behind it that I wouldn't be any good at it. :-D That's really great to know that it doesn't really matter. What you've all said has just made me want to keep messing with fractals, and just make it fun, which it is. :-) Earlier today I downloaded the trial version of Fractal eXtreme. Let's just say wow...I love this program!! If I have the money, I will totally buy it! To me, it makes more sence than FV, and a WHOLE LOT FASTER too!! My latest fractal picture "Ripple" was created using FX and took only about 10 minutes at the most to finish remdering, though, I had to cut a lot off so I could post it here, but that's ok. :-) Thanks to everyone who took the time to reply, you really did help me. :-D

Thread: V2 > M2 | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Oh yeah...LOL....I never use him...which would be why I feel stupid to have forgotten about him. What about the rest? And if there's no way to get V2's clothing to fit M2, then anyone know where I can get some decent free M2 clothing, other than here? Thanks for the reminder Little_Dragon! Jay P.S. Don't think I'm really weird or anything...there's just a pair of pants that Vicky has that I want Micheal to be able to wear, but I can't seem to figure out how to fit them to him. lol
Thread: Commenting on writes | Forum: Writers
While I agree with many things that have been said, personally, I'd like to say: A true friend will be honest with you, a stranger will usually be honestly brutal, and someone who cares too much or is too scared, won't say anything at all. If you post a story/novel/poem/lymric/whatever on here and enable comments to be posted, you, being the one who allowed it, shouldn't have a right to get mad at a HELPFULL, but CRITIC comment. Anyone would be mad if they recieve a comment saying, "Your writing sucks." But if it were "Your writing could be much better if..." or something similar, then, in my opinion, you shouldn't get mad. As for me, I am a writer and have been for about 5 years I guess and due to my unpopularness here and the fact that a lot of people, from what I've seen myself, are too brutal for me to post something that means so much to me. LOL. Just as some advise: If you want your work critiqued, find your best friend(s), ask/beg them to be completly 100% honest, and ask them to read your story. It's what I do. :-D
I've blabbed long enough...enjoy everyone.

Thread: Anyone know what happened to the "real men do pinups" contest?? | Forum: Contest Announcements
The waiting is killing me. Any clue when the winners will be announced?? Also, where will they be announced? On the contest page maybe?
Thread: Anyone know what happened to the "real men do pinups" contest?? | Forum: Contest Announcements
The actualy contest, as it appears, was removed from the contest list. However, on the main page if you scroll down and click contest, you can find the linik. The contest is closed and I'm dying to know when they will announce the winners. It says today, but when?? lol. But you have a good question. I came across the same thing, but got to looking and the Real Men DO Pinups contest is still there. It's just not listed under the contests. Hope that helps.
